TAPERED CUTTER BIT AND MOUNTING BLOCK FOR THE SAME
A cutter bit adapted to be fixed onto a working surface of a rotating drum of a milling, planing, mining or reclaiming machine is provided. The body of the cutter bit is generally formed of a hardened steel, the cutting surface may be a diamond composition fixed in a step in the upper end of the cutter bit. The cutter bit includes a cutting surface, and the cutting surface may include non-parallel side edges and an upper cutting edge parallel to a lower edge. The lower edge may be any length sufficient to inhibit unintended angular displacement of the cutting surface during operation of the working surface. Alternatively or in addition, the cutting surface may be defined by three edges to allow the cutting surface to be removed and repositioned in at least a second orientation.
MINERAL BITS AND MOUNTS
Mineral bits (10, 100) and associated mounts (30, 116, 200) for use during excavation and mining operations are disclosed. An exemplary bit (10) has a front region (12) and an opposite rear region (14) and comprises a head portion (16) and a mounting portion (18) secured to the head portion (16). The mounting portion (18) can be configured to be releasably retained by a mount (30). A rounded transition (22) disposed in the front region (12) of the bit between the head portion (16) and the mounting portion (18) provides a clearance (C) between the head portion (16) and the mount (16). Mineral bits (10, 100) disclosed can be inserted into and withdrawn from mounts (30, 116, 200) by linear and/or rotational movement.

Mineral winning pick, pick holder, and combination
An improved pick and pick holder assembly for use in mineral winning and the like. The improved pick and pick holder increases the effective life of a tool and pick holder by minimizing the shifting of the pick within the pick holder. The movement of the pick is minimized by front and rear bearing surfaces that remain positively engaged with front and rear bearing surfaces of the pick holder for loads applied to the pick that are predominantly inward and predominantly rearward.

Tooth retaining and locking system
A tooth with a retaining system for retaining the tooth in a receiving portion of an adapter in a cutting system comprises a first holding system to releasably retain the tooth to the adapter; and a second holding system to tension and secure the tooth with respect to the adapter.
CUTTING TOOL HOLDING DEVICE
A cutting tool holding device includes a base and a holder. The base includes a base body and an inserted bore. The base body includes a central connecting surface and two positioning surfaces. A lateral edge of each of the positioning surfaces is connected to the central connecting surface, and the two lateral edges are defined as a first lateral edge pair. The holder includes a disposing head and a shaft. The disposing head includes a head body and a tool bore. The head body includes a disposing surface and two bearing surfaces. Two lateral edges of the two bearing surfaces are defined as a second lateral edge pair. Two extending lines of the two lateral edges of at least one of the first lateral edge pair and the second lateral edge pair are close to each other.
