Apex and face seals with rotary internal combustion engine
A rotor for a rotary internal combustion engine with a first face seal biased axially outwardly away from the first end face has opposed curled ends abutting a first end seal of a respective one of the adjacent apex portions, and a second face seal biased axially outwardly away from the second end face has opposed curled ends abutting a second end seal of a respective one of the adjacent apex portions. A rotary internal combustion engine and a method of sealing chambers of a Wankel engine are also discussed.

Positive displacement pump assembly with movable end plate for rotor face clearance control
A positive displacement pump assembly includes a rotor housing defining a rotor cavity, and an end plate configured to at least partially close one end of the rotor cavity. Rotors are supported on and fixed to rotor shafts and extend through the rotor cavity. A first pair of bearings fixing the rotor shafts to the end plate. A second pair of bearings fixes the rotor shafts to the rotor housing, preventing relative axial movement between the rotor shafts and the rotor housing. The end plate is axially movable with the rotor shafts when the rotor shafts vary in axial length due to thermal fluctuations so that changes in an axial clearance at end faces of the rotors are reduced.
Vacuum pump
Durability of a vacuum pump is prevented from degrading by suppressing abrasion of a rotor and a side plate. The vacuum pump has a hollow cylinder chamber S having an opening at an end portion of a casing body, a rotor which is rotationally driven in the cylinder chamber S, a side plate for blocking the opening of the cylinder chamber S, and a pump cover which is disposed at the opposite side to the rotor so as to sandwich the side plate between the pump cover and the rotor, and the side plate is provided with an intercommunication port which confronts a shaft hole of the rotor and intercommunicates with a space between the side plate and the pump cover.
Rotary fluid machine
A rotary fluid machine that reduces fluid leakage from a gear pump or gear motor and achieves improvement in responsiveness is provided. The present invention is configured such that force of pressing a side plate toward gears by a seal member provided between the side plate and a case and performing pressure compartment is partly strong, not uniform along the entire length of the seal member. Specifically, for example, a gear pump comprises an assembly including a pair of gears, a side plate sealing a side surface of the gears, and a seal block sealing tooth tips of the gears, a case housing the pump assembly, and a seal member being arranged between the side plate or the seal block and the case and along a notch portion formed in the side plate or the seal block. The seal member is wider at a portion in a position passing through a place with large pressure fluctuations than at other portions.
Six-stroke rotary-vane internal combustion engine with hermetically sealed working space
The invention relates to a six-stroke rotary-vane internal combustion engine with hermetically sealed working space comprising a stator with at least one inlet and at least one outlet, a respective hole for at least one spark plug, and working chambers comprising of an air-fuel intake and compression, and of expansion and exhaust of combustion products working chamber; a cylindrical rotor rigidly fastened to a shaft with combustion chambers alternating with vane grooves made in the cylindrical surface and vanes fitted in the vane grooves; side walls; front and rear bearing shields. The whole working space of the engine is bound by parts rigidly and hermetically fastened to the stator. Composite prismatic pieces are placed into end grooves on both sides of the rotor, while the ends of said composite prismatic pieces are pushed by a first spring against the adjacent vanes and one of the longer sides of the composite prismatic pieces is pushed by a second spring against the side walls.

SEALING SYSTEM FOR A ROTARY-PISTON COMPRESSOR
The invention relates to the rotary piston machines, namely, to the working volume sealing systems of the said machines and can be used in the gas (air)’ and refrigerating compressors, heat’ and vacuum pumps and in the internal-combustion engines. The rotary piston compressor sealing system comprises the radial and butt sealing bars configured in the rotor slots, tightened towards the working surfaces by expanders and interacting with the sealing cylinders wherein the radial and butt sealing bars are made from antifriction composite material and each of the sealing cylinders is configured conjointly with one of the ends of one butt sealing bar. Also, a second embodiment of the rotor piston compressor sealing system is disclosed. The technical result consists in the increasing of the efficiency of the sealing system’ and the whole compressor operation, simplification of the system production process, simplification and labor intensity reduction of the system assembly and maintenance process, increasing of the working chambers leakage tightness, increasing of the system reliability and durability and improvement of the compressor performance related to the bleeding and the dynamic pneumatic process as a whole.
