Staying of a drain on a cylinder attached to a lower side of a valve casing is suppressed, and occurrence of corrosion of the cylinder is suppressed. A steam valve includes a valve casing, a valve disc disposed within the valve casing, a cylinder disposed on a lower side of the valve casing and having a piston rod extending upward, a valve stem vertically penetrating a lower portion of the valve casing and having one end coupled to the piston rod via a coupling and having another end coupled to the valve disc, a cover having a larger diameter than the piston rod and the coupling and configured to separate the piston rod and the coupling from each other by being interposed between the piston rod and the coupling, and a tubular skirt hanging down from a peripheral portion of the cover and surrounding a periphery of a head portion of the piston rod.

STEAM VALVE AND STEAM TURBINE PLANT

There are provided a steam valve and the like capable of preventing breakage of an auxiliary valve element and effectively suppressing the occurrence of a leak of steam in the auxiliary valve element. In the steam valve of an embodiment, the auxiliary valve element is structured to be in an open state in which the valve rod moves in an opening direction to increase a distance between an auxiliary-valve cap and a main valve element, thereby opening an auxiliary-valve steam introduction hole, and to be in a fully-closed state in which the valve rod moves in a closing direction in which the main valve element is closed to bring the auxiliary-valve cap and the main valve element into contact with each other, thereby closing the auxiliary-valve steam introduction holes. A contact position in which the auxiliary-valve cap and the main valve element are brought into contact with each other is located outside in a radial direction of the valve rod from the outer peripheral surface, of the auxiliary-valve tubular part, through which the auxiliary-valve steam introduction holes are formed.

INFLOW CONTOUR FOR A SINGLE-SHAFT ARRANGEMENT

A steam turbine having an inflow ring channel which is connected to an inflow connecting piece in terms of flow technology. The inflow connecting piece is designed in such a way that an incoming flow is first slowed down, subsequently accelerated and simultaneously deflected.

Steam valve device and steam turbine plant

In the embodiment, a steam valve device has, a steam regulating valve, and an intermediate flow path connecting the main steam stop valve and the steam regulating valve. The main steam stop valve and the steam regulating valve respectively have: casings where flow paths are formed between horizontal inlet ports and outlet ports opened downward and valve seats are arranged in the flow paths; valve elements movable up and down in the casings; and valve rods for driving the valve elements. The valve rods extend upward, and they are pulled off upward in a direction to outside of the casings when opening the flow paths. The intermediate flow path changes the flow direction of main steam flowing out of the outlet port of the main steam stop valve from downward direction to horizontal direction to guide the main steam toward the outlet ports of the steam regulating valves.

ENGINE SUPERCHARGER

Disclosed herein is a technique for providing an engine supercharger of a reduced size allowing an exhaust gas to be introduced smoothly into a turbine scroll. A turbine for use in this supercharger includes: a turbine lead-in route, into which the exhaust gas is introduced; a turbine scroll formed continuously with the turbine lead-in route to allow the exhaust gas to swirl around inside; a turbine wheel to turn on an axis of rotation; a turbine lead-out route; a wastegate passage to bypass the exhaust gas around the turbine scroll; and a wastegate valve. The turbine lead-in route includes a throat portion having a tapered downstream portion. The wastegate passage branches from that throat portion.

ON-OFF VALVE DEVICE AND ROTARY MACHINE

A turbocharger is provided with a valve body which is disposed in a suction flow path leading from an inflow port of a housing covering a turbine rotor blade to a scroll portion and composed of a single piece or multiple divided pieces to supply a fluid to the turbine rotor blade with the inner surface thereof formed using a first wall surface and a second wall surface facing the first wall surface as part thereof, extends from the upstream side to the downstream side of the flow of the fluid, is rotatably provided in the housing in a direction toward and away from the first wall surface and the second wall surface, forms an upstream-side narrowed flow path with the first wall surface therebetween at an end on the upstream side, and forms a downstream-side narrowed flow path with the second wall surface therebetween at an end on the downstream side. The valve body has a first surface at the end on the upstream side, which faces the first wall surface, gradually approaches the first wall surface from the upstream side to the downstream side and thereafter gradually goes away therefrom, and a second surface which faces the second wall surface.
