Device for assembling a turbine engine, and method using the device
A device for assembling a turbine engine is configured for centering a shaft of a second module relative to a longitudinal axis of a hollow hub placed in front of a first module, the first module including a longitudinal cavity opening at the front into the hollow hub and passing through the first module until a rear end, the shaft configured to be inserted into the longitudinal cavity. The device includes a centering element and a guiding tube. The centering element is configured to be placed in the hollow hub. The guiding tube is configured to enter into at least one portion of the longitudinal cavity of the first module. The device is arranged so that the guiding tube slides inside the centering element. The invention also relates to the assembly formed by the device and a calibration jig, as well as an assembly method using same.
Joining method
A method of joining a first component to a second component at respective connection surfaces, comprising, in order, applying a local surface treatment to the connection surface of at least one of the first and second components in order to locally alter the microstructure to a depth of between 60 μm and 10 mm below the connection surface; and joining the first component to the second component using a welding process.

A tie rod assembly structure, a gas turbine having the same, and a method of assembling tie rod are provided. The tie rod assembly structure includes a tie rod on which a plurality of rotor disks are mounted, a bearing support shaft mounted to the tie rod to support the rotor disks and on which a bearing is mounted, a first nut mounted on the tie rod on one side of the bearing support shaft, and a second nut that is fastened to the first nut to tension the tie rod and then is in close contact with the bearing support shaft to support the bearing support shaft.
Rotor assembly for a gas turbine engine and method for assembling same
A rotor assembly for a gas turbine engine includes a turbine shaft disposed about a longitudinal axis, a first rotor and a second rotor configured for rotation about the longitudinal axis, and an intermediate shaft positioned radially between the turbine shaft and the second rotor. The second rotor is mounted to and axially adjacent the first rotor. The intermediate shaft is mounted to the turbine shaft on an inner radial side of the intermediate shaft. The intermediate shaft is mounted to the second rotor on an outer radial side of the intermediate shaft.

Described is a rotor disk (40) for a compressor (29, 32) of a gas turbine, in particular an aircraft gas turbine (10), the rotor disk having a main body (42), at least one rotor arm (44) projecting from the main body (42) in the axial direction (AR), the rotor arm (44) having, in a sectional view taken in a sectional plane defined by the axial direction (AR) and the radial direction (RR) a beginning portion (44a) merging into the main body (42); an end (44e) portion remote from the main body (42) and forming a kind of free end in the axial direction (AR), the beginning portion (44a) and the end portion (44e) being interconnected by an intermediate portion (44z), characterized in that the intermediate portion (44z) is curved with at least one radius of curvature (Ri, Ra).
BORE COMPARTMENT SEALS FOR GAS TURBINE ENGINES
Rotor systems including an engine shaft, a forward hub, a rear hub, a rotor disk arranged between the forward hub and the rear hub, and a seal tube configured to define a forward hub compartment and a rear hub compartment. The forward hub compartment is defined forward of the rotor disk and the rear hub compartment is defined aft of the rotor disk. The seal tube is connected at a forward end to at least one of the rotor disk and the engine shaft and at a rear end to at least one of the rear hub and the engine shaft and the seal tube includes at least one axial compliance element configured to enable axial extension and compression of the seal tube in an axial direction along the engine shaft.
TANDEM BLADE ROTOR DISK
A tandem rotor disk apparatus may include a rotor disk body concentric about an axis. The tandem rotor disk apparatus may also include a first blade extending radially outward of the rotor disk body and a second blade extending radially outward of the rotor disk body. The first blade may be offset from the second blade in a direction parallel to the axis. The tandem rotor disk apparatus may be implemented in a gas turbine engine with no intervening stator vane stages disposed between the first blade and the second blade.
ROTOR ARRANGEMENT FOR A GAS TURBINE WITH INCLINED AXIAL CONTACT SURFACES FORMED ON ROTOR SEGMENTS, GAS TURBINE AND AIRCRAFT GAS TURBINE
A rotor assembly may be used in a gas turbine. The rotor assembly includes rotor segments arranged in succession in an axial direction and interconnected in the axial direction by a tie-rod, and a rotor segment disposed forwardly in the axial direction having a first contact surface and a rotor segment disposed rearwardly in the axial direction having a second contact surface. The first and second contact surfaces are at least partially in contact with each other, are substantially annular in shape, and extend in a radial direction and in a circumferential direction. The first contact surface and/or the second contact surface extend at least partially obliquely relative to the radial direction. An angle is formed between the first contact surface and the second contact surface when viewed in a sectional plane defined by the axial direction and the radial direction.

A fastener cover for a flanged joint including first and second annular flanges extending about an axis, comprising: an annular, axially-extending, inboard wall; an annular, axially-extending outboard wall positioned radially outboard of the inboard wall; and a first radial wall interconnecting the inboard and outboard walls, wherein, collectively, the inboard and outboard walls and the first radial wall define a cavity for receiving a portion of a fastener; at least one fastener pocket including sidewalls extending axially away from the first radial wall and defining a tubular shape, which is closed off opposite the first radial wall by a floor plate having a clearance hole passing therethrough for accepting a shank of the fastener; and wherein the cover includes a balance weight receptacle for accepting at least one balance weight.
