INTAKE DEVICE OF INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
An intake device of an internal combustion engine, includes: a plurality of intake ports which have outer walls and partition walls and are adjacent to each other via the partition walls; a valve body which is provided in each of the intake ports, and switches a flow path of the intake port by rotation around a rotation shaft; a holding member which is installed on each of the outer walls and the partition walls; and a rolling bearing which is mounted on at least one of the holding members, and supports the valve body to be freely rotatable, wherein the holding member includes a wall surface between the rolling bearing and the valve body in a direction in which the rotation shaft extends.
Power system with internal combustion engine
A power system including a variable volume combustion chamber for a two-stroke engine having a controlled exhaust port, a fuel injector to the combustion chamber, an oxygen injector to the combustion chamber and a water injector to the combustion chamber. The fuel, oxygen and water injectors controlled by a CPU provide repeated serial pulses of fuel, oxygen and water to complete a charge. An ignition chamber receives a compressed charge then ignited by a spark plug to pass through a restricted port to the main combustion chamber. A source of pressurized concentrated oxygen to the oxygen injector is in a closed air separator having a ceramic membrane of yttrium stabilized zirconia with a synthesized double perovskite nanofiber catalyst coating.
Methods and devices for controlling the compression ratio of an opposed piston engine
A valve with an opening is driven by an electric motor to rotate around the cylinder of an opposed piston engine such that the opening separately matches an intake and exhaust opening on the cylinder to allow fuel to enter the combustion chamber of the engine and allow exhaust to be expelled. The intake and exhaust cylinder openings may be separated from each other by approximately sixty degrees of the outside of the cylinder.
Engine with rotating valve assembly
An engine with a rotating valve assembly is disclosed. The valve assembly including a housing having an internal cavity, an open top, and an open bottom, the open top and open bottom being in fluid communication with the internal cavity; a valve barrel positioned in the internal cavity and adapted for rotation therein, the valve barrel having an annular peripheral surface and an aperture extending transversely therethrough communicating with the peripheral surface on opposite sides; a first seal assembly positioned in the open top and a second seal assembly positioned in the open bottom, the first and second seal assemblies each include a seal having a sealing surface in mating engagement with the peripheral surface and an aperture extending therethrough.

ENGINE AND METHOD OF OPERATING THE SAME
An engine system and method of operation therefor are provided. The system is a two-stroke internal combustion engine having an exhaust valve assembly that controls the exhaust cycle relative to crankshaft timing. The exhaust valve assembly is positioned between exhaust port and an exhaust pipe. The exhaust valve assembly comprises a rotary exhaust valve and valve phasing assembly. The rotary exhaust valve comprises a valve body defining a valve void therethrough. The use of the rotary exhaust valve allows for alteration or calibration of the fixed time and location at which the intake port and exhaust port are opened and closed by the piston with respect to the respective engine cycle. Notably, while still uncovered by the piston, the exhaust port may be closed due to full misalignment of the valve void and the exhaust port, while the intake port remains open, allowing for cylinder charging.

Internal Combustion Engine Cylinder Head with Tubular Apparatus for Intake and Exhaust
An apparatus for intake and exhaust of an engine includes: an outer tube including an outer-tube close end, an outer-tube open end, and a first outer-tube aperture set including a first aperture and a first outer-tube aperture group, an inner tube positioned in the outer tube about a concentric line, including an inner-tube close end, an inner-tube open end, and a first inner-tube aperture set including a second aperture and a first inner-tube aperture group, in which the inner-tube close end is proximate to the outer-tube close end, and a shaft connected to the inner-tube open end for rotating the inner tube in the outer tube about the concentric line, in which when the inner tube rotates, the second aperture sweeps across a portion of the first aperture and the first inner-tube aperture group sweeps across a portion of the first outer-tube aperture group.
Rotary valve assembly having rotatable throttle and intake assemblies
Provided herein are rotary valve assemblies, engines, and corresponding methods. A rotary valve assembly may include a valve housing defining a cylindrical bore, an inlet, and an outlet. The valve assembly may further include an intake assembly and a throttle assembly arranged concentrically within the cylindrical bore of the valve housing, and the intake assembly and the throttle assembly may rotate independently of one another with respect to a longitudinal axis. During operation of the rotary valve assembly, the valve housing may permit fluid to enter the cylindrical bore of the valve housing via the inlet, the intake assembly may rotate to permit the fluid to flow through the at least one intake inlet port and the at least one throttle inlet port into the throttle body, and the intake assembly may permit the fluid to flow to the outlet from the throttle body.
