Pressurized oil system powered by two-stroke engine
A two-stroke engine comprises a first oiling system and a second oiling system. The first oiling system includes a low-pressure pump that distributes oil from a first oil tank to the two-stroke engine. The second oiling system includes a pump mechanically coupled to a crankshaft of the two-stroke engine, wherein the pump distributes oil from a second oil tank to an accessory at a pressure greater than the first oil pressure, wherein oil distributed to the accessory is returned to the second oil tank.
ENGINE ASSEMBLY
An engine assembly is provided. The engine assembly comprises an oil system comprising: a first oil pump configured to supply oil at a first pressure to one or more first components of the engine assembly; and a second oil pump configured to supply oil at a second pressure to one or more second components of the engine assembly, the second pressure being higher than the first pressure; wherein the second oil pump is provided adjacent to a valve train of the engine assembly.
Direct timing system for internal combustion engine
The object of this invention is to simplify the timing system of all types of internal combustion engine. The system eliminates existing conventional timing trains. The hydraulic, mechanical or electrical/electronic direct timing systems that form the subject of the invention offer minimal resistance and minimal transmission. The piston strokes are given directly by the crankshaft by means of a system fixed thereto which via a mechanical or hydraulic or electrical or electronic system transmits the strokes to the cylinder valves. The system can be connected to all types of indirect transmission and has adjusting systems that allow it to be adapted to suit all types of internal combustion engine.
BALANCE SHAFT MODULE
A balance shaft module includes a balance shaft for receiving a driving force from a crankshaft of an engine by a driving gear and rotating inside a balance shaft housing, an oil pump gear being geared with the driving gear to rotate along with the driving gear, an oil pump shaft having the oil pump gear press-fitted therein and rotating as the oil pump gear rotates, and an oil pump assembly mounted in the oil pump shaft and pumping oil as the oil pump shaft rotates, wherein a pair of support rings is provided at both side surfaces of the oil pump gear to support both side portions of the oil pump gear in the oil pump shaft.
CAM DRIVE SYSTEM FOR AN ENGINE
Methods and systems are provided for a cam drive system of an engine. In one example, a front end of an engine includes an idler gear assembly including an idler gear and idler pulley, the idler gear in meshing engagement with a first end of a crankshaft and the idler pulley coupled to and sharing a rotational axis with the idler gear. The front end of the engine may further include first and second camshaft pulleys positioned vertically above the idler gear assembly and a cam drive belt contacting each of the first and second camshaft pulleys and the idler pulley.
GEAR DRIVEN DIESEL FUEL INJECTION PUMP OF AN ENGINE
Methods and systems are provided for a gear driven diesel fuel injection pump of an engine. In one example, a front end of an engine includes an idler gear in meshing engagement with a first end of a crankshaft and a fuel pump drive gear in meshing engagement with the idler gear. The front end of the engine may further include a fuel pump, where an input shaft of the fuel pump is directly coupled to the fuel pump drive gear.
AUTOMOTIVE LUBRICANT PUMPING SYSTEM WITH TWO PIECE RELIEF VALVE
A lubrication pumping system for an oil lubricated engine is provided that includes a pump with an outlet and inlet. A relief valve is included having a housing with a multidimensional bore having a first diameter section axially intersecting with a second different diameter section. Slidably mounted in the first section is a spring biased primary piston have a first landing for metering flow between a pump discharge connection and a pump inlet connection. A secondary piston is provided in a second different diameter section of the valve housing bore. The inventive system allows for multiple modes of operation of oil pressure versus engine speed relationships by control of the pilot pressure to minimize parasitic loads exerted by the oil pump on the vehicle engine.
POWER UNIT FOR VEHICLE
An engine power unit for a vehicle has a crankcase made up of tow left and right crankcase members, and a lubricant feed pump disposed in one crankcase member in such a fashion that one side surface of pump rotors of the feed pump lies on the mating surface of the crankcase members. The feed pump is mounted on one end of the shaft of the feed pump while a drive gear for rotating the shaft is disposed on the opposite end of the shaft. A lubricant oil filter to which oil is delivered from the feed pump is disposed on the other crankcase member. Thus, the structure for supplying lubricating oil is simplified, and the power unit is reduced in size in its entirety.
POWER UNIT
In a vehicle power unit having an internal combustion engine, a pair of power transmission gears for transmitting rotation of a crank shaft to a balancer shaft is arranged between a crankcase and a crankcase cover, and a fluid pump is provided on a power transmission gear shaft supporting a power transmission gear, by which the backlash between the crank shaft and the balancer shaft is reduced and the friction and the noise of the gears are restrained while achieving downsizing of the gears of the crank shaft and the balancer, weight reduction and downsizing of the power unit.
