System for supplying lubricant to a component
A system for supplying lubricant to a component of a gas turbine engine having a fan shaft is provided. The system includes a pump drivably couplable to the fan shaft for pumping lubricant to the component. The pump includes an inlet for receiving lubricant from a lubricant source, an outlet for outputting lubricant to the component and a swashplate movable between at least a first position and a second position. The system also includes a swashplate actuator for actuating the swashplate between the first position and the second position according to whether the fan shaft is rotating in a forward direction or a reverse direction opposite to the forward direction.
Engine Oil Pump Drive Shaft And Distributor Alignment Tool
A tool to facilitate alignment and synchronization of an internal combustion engine oil pump drive shaft and distributor. In a preferred embodiment, the tool is a tubular shaped shaft having cross pieces arranged in both ends of the shaft to facilitate such alignment.
POWER UNIT FOR VEHICLE
An engine power unit for a vehicle has a crankcase made up of tow left and right crankcase members, and a lubricant feed pump disposed in one crankcase member in such a fashion that one side surface of pump rotors of the feed pump lies on the mating surface of the crankcase members. The feed pump is mounted on one end of the shaft of the feed pump while a drive gear for rotating the shaft is disposed on the opposite end of the shaft. A lubricant oil filter to which oil is delivered from the feed pump is disposed on the other crankcase member. Thus, the structure for supplying lubricating oil is simplified, and the power unit is reduced in size in its entirety.
Pre-lubrication and skip fire operations during engine cranking
A system includes a valve actuation system, a pre-lubrication pump coupled to a lubrication circuit and configured to provide oil to the valve actuation system, a catalyst for receiving and treating exhaust gasses, and a controller. The controller is configured to identify an engine start request and determine whether the catalyst temperature is below a first threshold value. In response to determining that the catalyst temperature is below the first threshold value, the controller actuates the pre-lubrication pump to direct lubricant to the valve actuation system, controls the valve actuation system to deactivate at least one cylinder of an engine, and, subsequent to deactivating the at least one cylinder of the engine, cranks the engine.
POWER UNIT AND VEHICLE INCLUDING POWER UNIT
A power unit includes at least one drive source that outputs rotational power to a drive target other than pumps; a first pump rotationally driven by the rotational power of the drive source; a second pump rotationally driven by the rotational power of the drive source, the second pump being different form the first pump; and a power transmission structure that transmits the rotational power of the drive source to the first and second pumps. The power transmission structure includes transmission components and transmits the rotational power to the first pump through one of the transmission components and to the second pump through another of the transmission components.
Hose fitting and hose assembly for marine vehicles
A hose fitting is provided to fluidly couple a hose to a component of a boat engine. The hose fitting includes a lead in portion having a substantially smooth exterior surface, a barbed portion with multiple barbs configured to sealingly engage with an inner liner of the hose, a grip portion with multiple substantially flat grip faces; and a terminating portion configured to couple to the component of the boat engine. The lead in portion, the barbed portion, the grip portion, and the terminating portion collectively define a central flow passage extending through the hose fitting.
PUMP SHAFT SUPPORT STRUCTURE
A pump shaft support structure includes: a crankcase body which rotatably supports a crankshaft of an engine; a pump shaft which interlockingly rotates with the crankshaft; a crankcase cover which covers the crankcase body; a pump cover which is coupled to the crankcase cover to define a pump chamber therebetween; and a pump rotor which is disposed in the pump chamber and engages with the pump shaft. The pump shaft includes: a supported section which is rotatably supported by the pump cover on the other side of the pump chamber from the crankcase cover; and an insertion section adjoining the supported section in an axial direction. The pump cover has a through bore which passes the insertion section of the pump shaft therethrough. The insertion section of the pump shaft has a diameter smaller than that of the supported section.

DUAL INPUT PUMP ASSEMBLY
A pump assembly, comprising a pump and housing having an inlet passage and an outlet passage. The pump includes inlet and outlet ports and opposing first and second drive inputs configured to be rotated together in a pumping direction to operate the pump. The pump can be installed in the housing in a first orientation, in which the first drive input is configured for being rotated by a drive source in a first external direction to operate the pump, and a second orientation, in which the second drive input is configured for being rotated by the drive source in a second external direction opposite of the first external direction to operate the pump. In both the first orientation and the second orientation, the inlet port is in fluid communication with the inlet passage and the outlet port is in fluid communication with the outlet passage.
