Engine oil state control device
An engine oil state control device for controlling a fuel mixture ratio of a fuel mixed in an engine oil of an engine on which a predetermined combustion control is performed includes comprising a fuel mixture ratio acquisition part configured to acquire the fuel mixture ratio, and an oil temperature rise control part configured to perform an oil temperature rise control for increasing an evaporation rate of the fuel mixed in the engine oil if the fuel mixture ratio is equal to or greater than a first threshold.
Method for determining a fuel fraction in oil
A method for determining a fuel fraction in the oil of an oil circuit (6), in particular in oil of an oil circuit (6) of an internal combustion engine (7), wherein a variably adjustable oil delivery pump (1) is provided in the oil circuit, which oil delivery pump can be actuated by means of a control unit (4), wherein the control unit performs an adjustment of parameters and/or adaptation values of the oil delivery pump as a function of the viscosity of the oil, wherein a determination of the fuel fraction in the oil is performed on the basis of the parameters and/or adaptation values.
Method for adjusting a grille shutter opening
Methods and systems are provided for adjusting a grille shutter opening based on an estimated amount of fuel in oil dilution. In one example, a method may include adjusting a grille shutter opening to a closed position in response to an oil dilution amount above a threshold, the position determined based on the oil dilution amount in addition to each of engine coolant temperature and acceleration/deceleration.
LUBRICANT DILUTION DETECTION SYSTEM
Lubricant dilution detection systems and methods are disclosed. A method for detecting lubricant dilution for a lubrication system includes detecting a shutdown event of the lubrication system. The method includes measuring lubricant pressure during the shutdown event. The method further includes determining lubricant dilution based on the measured lubricant pressure during the shutdown event. In accordance with a determination that there is lubricant dilution, the method includes outputting an indication of the lubricant dilution.

Method and device for acquiring the oil temperature in an internal combustion engine
Various embodiments include a method for determining the temperature of an engine oil in an internal combustion engine comprising: acquiring a value of a parameter characterizing a current operating point of the internal combustion engine; and calculating the temperature of the engine oil using an oil temperature model. The oil temperature model depends at least in part on dilution of the engine oil caused by different components in the engine oil and accounts for modified heating behavior of the engine oil based on the dilution.
Systems for in situ monitoring of working fluids and working fluid systems
A working fluid monitoring system for monitoring a working fluid of working fluid system of a piece of equipment is provided. The working fluid monitoring system can include a filter member having an inlet, an outlet, and a filter media disposed between the inlet and the outlet. The filter member can be configured to permit fluid communication of the working fluid of the working fluid system from the inlet, through the filter media, and out the outlet of the filter member. A sensor is in operable communication with the working fluid within the filter member and is configured to monitor in situ a parameter of the working fluid and/or the working fluid system.

Method for operating a motor vehicle provided with a hybrid drive apparatus and a corresponding motor vehicle
A method for operating a motor vehicle provided with a hybrid drive apparatus. The hybrid drive device is equipped with an internal combustion engine that can be operated with a fuel, as well as with an electric engine, and a lubricant is supplied at least intermittently to the internal combustion engine. At the same time, a lubricant dilution value is determined with a dilution of the lubricant so that the internal combustion engine is started when a first threshold value is exceeded by the lubricant dilution value, and when the motor vehicle is located on a regeneration route of an anticipated driving route of the motor vehicle and the regeneration route is sufficient to reduce the lubricant dilution value by a specified value.
