Cover assembly
The invention relates to a cover assembly for covering of a cylinder head with a lid, a frame and at least one air-oil separator, as well as the use of such a cover assembly as an enclosure for at least one cylinder head of a combustion engine of a vehicle or a combustion engine for stationary use.
Pressure-limiting valve
A pressure-limiting valve for use in a gas line conveying a gas that includes aerosols. The pressure-limiting valve has a movable valve body, a valve seat, and a compressible coalescing medium placed therebetween. The valve body has passages and nozzle openings and the valve seat has through-holes. In the closed position, the valve functions in separator mode and in the fully open position, in impactor mode. The pressure-limiting valve according to the invention provides a more sensitive response to varying flow conditions, due to deviating surface profiles of the valve seat and coalescing medium, which provide intermediate stages of separator and impactor modes as a function of the volume of flow.

Breather device of internal combustion engine
In a breather device of an internal combustion engine, a breather chamber is defined by a head cover main body and a chamber forming member. The breather device includes an upstream breather passage communicating a first end of the breather chamber with a crank chamber, a downstream breather passage communicating a second end of the breather chamber with an intake passage, an oil return passage formed in a cylinder head to communicate a valve actuation chamber with the crank chamber, a first communication hole formed in a lower part of a recessed part of the breather chamber adjoining the first end of the breather chamber to communicate the breather chamber with the valve actuation chamber, and a second communication hole formed in a part of the breather chamber downstream of the first communication hole to communicate the breather chamber with the valve actuation chamber.
Internal Combustion Engine for a Motor Vehicle, Motor Vehicle, and Method
An internal combustion engine for a motor vehicle includes a crankcase. The crankcase has having at least two oil separation devices and having a return device. The return device has at least one first return channel that is flowable through by a first portion of the oil separated from the blow-by gas with a first of the oil separation devices, through which the first portion of the separated oil is guided from the first oil separation device into the reservoir. The return device also has at least one second return channel that is at least partially spaced apart from the first return channel and is flowable through by a second portion of the oil separated from the blow-by gas via the second oil separation device, through which second return channel the second portion of the separated oil is guided from the second oil separation device into the reservoir.
LIQUID SEPARATOR SYSTEM
Liquid Separator System The present invention relates to a liquid separator system for removing liquid particles from a blow-by gas stream in the internal combustion engine. The system has a liquid separating device and a remote warning/maintenance system generating a signal for an operator of the internal combustion engine. The liquid separator device has a base housing with at least one receptacle with a filter element and a pressure regulator is received within a removable cap portion. A liquid level sensor is mounted in the base housing in the receptacle. A pressure sensing system has a filter blocked valve to indicate a partially blocked filter element. When a filter is partially blocked the pressure sensing system generates a signal to the remote warning/maintenance system and when liquid in the base housing reaches a predetermined level the liquid level sensor generates a signal to the remote warning/maintenance system.
MODULAR ASSEMBLIES FOR CRANKCASE OIL SEPARATORS
Apparatuses, systems and methods are disclosed for separating oil from a blow-by gas of an engine. An example includes a method that includes passing the blow-by gas to a first oil separating apparatus and a second oil separating apparatus, wherein the first oil separating apparatus and the second oil separating apparatus are physically coupled together along interfacing surfaces and in fluid communication with one another as an array, separating the blow-by gas by passing the blow-by gas through respective filters of the first oil separating apparatus and the second oil separating apparatus, removing the oil from the blow-by gas with the respective filters and recombining the blow-by gas after passing from the respective filters; passing the blow-by gas as a single flow stream from the first oil separating apparatus and the second oil separating apparatus.
VALVE, OIL SEPARATOR, AND VENTILATION SYSTEM
A valve, an oil separator, and a ventilation system are described. These are used particularly in internal combustion engines, for example for separating oil mist or oil droplets from blow-by gases (crankcase gases). In particular a valve which can be used for example as a bypass valve in a ventilation system is described.
DEVICE FOR DEPOSITING OIL DROPLETS AND/OR OIL MIST
A device for separating oil droplets and/or oil mist from blow-by gases of an internal combustion engine having a valve for controlling the gas flow through the oil separator is disclosed. The valve has at least one valve body with at least one gas through-opening and also a valve seal for closing this at least one gas through-opening.
