Rocker arm with an oil trough
A rocker arm assembly having a rocker arm including a pair of sidewalls, each sidewall defining a support aperture, a rocker arm support including a pair of opposed bearing support arms, each bearing support arm being disposed within a corresponding support aperture of the rocker arm and defining a lubrication groove extending along an outer surface thereof, and a pair of radial roller bearings, each including an inner cup, an outer cup, and a plurality of rollers disposed therebetween, wherein each radial roller bearing is disposed both on a corresponding bearing support arm and within a corresponding support aperture.
Cylinder head
The cylinder head includes an intake port communicating with a cylinder of a cylinder block, a cylinder head main body having an exhaust port communicating with the cylinder, and a rocker housing integrally formed on the cylinder head main body and an inner side of which is defined as a valve-system accommodating space. The rocker housing includes a lateral wall having a lateral wall main body and a base end portion which extends along a lower end of the lateral wall main body, connects the lateral wall main body to the cylinder head main body, and has a thickness thicker than that of the lateral wall body. A flow path which extends in an extending direction of the base end portion and through which a fluid flow is formed in the base end portion.
MODULAR CYLINDER HEAD FOR ENGINE BLOCKS
A modular cylinder head is configured for use with combustion engine block configurations each having different valvetrain oiling pathways. Thus, when used with LA-style engine blocks, oil receiving/delivery ports provided by the cylinder head are compatibly interfaced with an oil outlet port provided by the engine block, thus allowing oil to pass from the engine block into the head for delivery to a valvetrain carried thereby. Alternatively, when the head is used with Magnum-style engine blocks, the oil receiving/delivery ports of the head are not used. Rather, a pushrod and lifter having internal ports are used by the cylinder head to allow oil to pass from the engine block, through the internal ports of the lifter and pushrod, and into the valvetrain.
CARRIER HAVING INTEGRATED ENGINE BRAKE AND LUBRICATION OIL PATH
An oil supply carrier assembly configured to be mounted to a valve train carrier having a plurality of rocker arms according to the present disclosure includes an oil supply carrier housing having a first oil inlet port and a second oil inlet port. The oil supply carrier housing supports an oil control valve and further includes first, second and third oil supply passages. The first oil supply passage is configured to deliver oil from the first oil inlet port on the valve train carrier to the oil control valve. The second oil supply passage is configured to deliver oil from the valve train carrier to at least one engine brake rocker arm of the rocker arms. The third oil supply passage is configured therein to deliver oil from the second oil inlet port to the rocker arms.
VALVE TRAIN FOR AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
A valve train for an internal combustion engine is provided. The valve train includes at least one rocker arm. The at least one rocker arm is mounted at a bearing. Further, the at least one rocker arm can be moved around the bearing by an actuating element. The valve train also includes at least one valve actuating element, wherein the at least one valve actuating element can be moved by the at least one rocker arm. At least one valve can be actuated by this movement of the at least one valve actuating element. A fluid element is arranged between the at least one valve actuating element and the at least one rocker arm. The fluid element comprises at least one cavity for a fluid. The volume of the fluid in the at least one cavity can be varied by moving a piston, and the at least one valve actuating element constitutes or is mounted on the piston.
ACTUATOR OF LINK MECHANISM FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
An object of the present invention is to provide an actuator of a link mechanism for an internal combustion engine capable of ensuring lubricity regardless of a slope of a road surface. An actuator of a link mechanism for an internal combustion engine according to one aspect of the present invention includes a ball bearing having an inner race held by a wave generator of a strain wave gearing speed reducer and an outer race held by a housing, and a holding mechanism capable of holding lubricant oil on a radially inner side with respect to the outer race of this roller bearing.
Portable four-stroke engine
The present utility model discloses a portable four-stroke engine, comprising: an engine body, a flywheel and an oil storage tank, wherein an air valve distribution chamber and a crank shaft chamber are arranged in the engine; a crank shaft is arranged in the crank shaft chamber, and is connected to the flywheel; the oil storage tank is arranged on the engine body, located above the flywheel, and configured to store lubricating oil; a cam and a rocker arm mechanism are arranged in the air valve distribution chamber; and the cam is configured to drive the rocker arm mechanism. The portable four-stroke engine provided by the present utility model has a small volume and therefore has better operation performance.
Rocker shaft with de-aeration oil gallery segment
A switchable valve train assembly including a carrier housing defining a hydraulic circuit, a supply assembly, a plurality of rocker shafts, a plurality of separators, and a plurality of rocker arm assemblies is provided. Each one of the plurality of separators divides the rocker shafts into (1) a first chamber extending between a first chamber axial end and the separator, and (2) a second chamber extending between a second chamber axial end and the separator. The plurality of separators each include an orifice defined between the first chamber and the second chamber that provides fluid connection between the first chamber and the second chamber. Locking assemblies of the rocker arm assemblies are selectively actuated based on the supply assembly. The separators ensure that hydraulic fluid within the hydraulic fluid is de-aerated and that the second chambers remain primed with hydraulic fluid for faster actuation of the locking assemblies.
