Exhaust gas treatment device, a marine vessel and a genset
An exhaust gas after-treatment device in a driveline application, which device comprising a casing having an upper surface, a lower surface and side surfaces connecting the upper and lower surfaces to form an enclosed volume. The casing is provided with an exhaust inlet opening and an exhaust outlet opening wherein exhaust gas is supplied to and discharged from the casing through the upper surface. At least one of the exhaust inlet and outlet openings is operatively connected to its corresponding inlet or outlet pipe by a pipe connector having a first opening facing the casing and a second opening facing away from the casing. The at least one pipe connector is arranged to be rotatable about the central axis of its associated inlet or outlet opening in the casing into a predetermined angular position relative to the opening in the casing.
Turbocharged engine arrangement
An engine is provided with an engine body, a crankshaft, a cooling fan, an exhaust manifold, a supercharger, an ATD that purifies exhaust gas, and a second exhaust pipe. When the height direction of the engine is defined as a first direction, the crankshaft extends in a second direction vertical to the first direction. The cooling fan is disposed on one side of the engine body in the second direction. The supercharger is driven by the exhaust gas from the exhaust manifold. The second exhaust pipe connects the supercharger and the ATD. The ATD is disposed in an attitude in which the longitudinal direction thereof is parallel to the second direction. The second exhaust pipe is connected to the cooling fan side of the ATD in the second direction. The second exhaust pipe is disposed so as to pass laterally with respect to the exhaust manifold and below the supercharger.
Joint assembly, v-clamp, and end flanges
A v-clamp provides an enhanced axial load to tubular body end flanges in order to establish a fluid-tight joint therebetween. The v-clamp, according to an example, has a v-angle that varies in value over a section or more of a band of the v-clamp. The varying v-angle has been shown to effect an axial load that is more evenly and uniformly applied around a circumference of the v-clamp and to the underlying tubular body end flanges. Furthermore, in an example, the tubular body end flanges have a partially spherical shape.

Muffler heat protection assembly
A muffler heat protection system for a vehicle includes a muffler heat shield configured to extend circumferentially around a portion of a muffler, the muffler heat shield having a first end and a second end; a heat shield extension secured to the first end of the muffler heat shield; a double wall exhaust pipe including an inner exhaust pipe and an outer covering pipe disposed over the inner exhaust pipe, the outer covering pipe having a first end portion and a second end portion, and the inner exhaust pipe having a first end portion and a second end portion; wherein the second end portion of the outer covering pipe is welded to the muffler at a welded connection seam; and wherein the heat shield extension projects outward from the muffler heat shield over the welded connection seam.
Component for an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine
A component for an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine includes a component housing (22) elongated in the direction of a housing axis with an exhaust gas inlet (21) and with an exhaust gas outlet (24) and a carrier assembly unit (28) for connecting the component (16) to a carrier structure. The carrier assembly unit (28) includes a carrier rod (46), the carrier rod (46) being fixed to the component housing (22) in at least two fastening areas (60, 62) located at spaced locations from one another along the carrier rod (46). The carrier assembly unit (28) has at least one carrier rod connection area (52, 54) for connection to the carrier structure.
Exhaust system
An exhaust system for an internal combustion engine of a vehicle includes an exhaust gas pipe, at least one branch pipe branching off from the exhaust gas pipe, for example, a pressure pipe (22), as well as at least one support device (38) supporting at least one branch pipe in relation to an exhaust system component. The support device (38) includes a carrier element (42) fixed to the exhaust system component, a clamping element (44) pressing at least one pressure pipe (22) against the carrier element (42), as well as a clamping (tensioning) device (58) acting between the carrier element (42) and the clamping element (44) for tensioning the clamping element (44) in relation to the carrier element (42).

PROFILE CLAMP WITH LATCHING TAB
A profile clamp with a clamp band and an annular ring element with a ring body is provided. The clamp band has two clamping heads which are connected to one another via a clamping element. The ring element includes at least one first latching tab, which is arranged projecting from the ring body in the axial direction of the profile clamp and projecting out of the profile clamp at least in some sections. The first latching tab has a first latching portion and a free-swinging portion extending opposite thereto. The first latching portion is designed to exert a force, and the first latching portion has a first contact edge that is designed to create a point contact or a line contact with a flange of the pipe end.
