Engine exhaust catalyst heating system
An engine system may include an intake line, and a cylinder deactivation (CDA) device selectively deactivating a portion of combustion chambers in the engine. The engine system may further include a first exhaust manifold connected to a first plurality of combustion chambers mounted with the CDA device, a second exhaust manifold connected to a second plurality of combustion chambers without the CDA device, a first exhaust line connected to the first exhaust manifold, a second exhaust line connected to the second exhaust manifold, and a third exhaust line connected with the first and second exhaust lines through an exhaust gas processing device. In addition, a turbocharger including a turbine is mounted at the first exhaust line and rotated by exhaust gas. An air injection device may supply air to the second exhaust manifold or the second exhaust line in a catalyst heating mode of the exhaust gas processing device.
Diesel Particulate filter regeneration system
Methods and systems are provided for regeneration of a particulate filter including a filter body having a filter paper looped along a plurality of rolling guides. At least one rolling guide may be a roller heater having a motor and a heater. Activation of the roller heater based on a pressure difference across the particulate filter regenerates the particulate filter during a regeneration phase and positions a regenerated section of the filter paper for trapping soot in a subsequent soot loading phase.
Power generation system exhaust cooling
An airflow control system for a gas turbine system according to an embodiment includes: an airflow generation system for attachment to a rotatable expander shaft of a gas turbine system, downstream of the gas turbine system, for drawing in a flow of ambient air through an air intake section into a mixing area; and an eductor nozzle for attachment to a downstream end of the turbine component for receiving an exhaust gas stream produced by the gas turbine system and for drawing in a flow of ambient air through the air intake section into the mixing area, the exhaust gas stream passing through the eductor nozzle into the mixing area; wherein, in the mixing area, the exhaust gas stream mixes with the flow of ambient air drawn in by the airflow generation system and the flow of ambient air drawn in by the eductor nozzle to reduce a temperature of the exhaust gas stream.
Exhaust purifying apparatus
Particulate matter in exhaust is treated with a novel configuration. An exhaust purifying apparatus of the present invention includes a flow generating device and a treatment device. The flow generating device includes a discharge electrode arranged inside of a tubular outer shell forming a flow passage in which exhaust containing the particulate matter flows. The discharge electrode is configured to generate the flow of the particulate matter from the discharge electrode side to the outer shell side by voltage application. The treatment device includes a space defining member and a treatment electrode. The space defining member is arranged between the discharge electrode and the outer shell to define a treatment space between the outer shell and the space defining member, and is configured to allow the inflow of the particulate matter into the space. Upon treating the particulate matter, the voltage application is performed to the treatment electrode.
