Hydroactive vortex scrubber and reactor
A hydro-active scrubber and reactor (HSR) system and apparatus is disclosed that includes a main body, an inlet configured to receive a first fluid medium comprised of pollutant particles, and a nozzle configured to dispense a second fluid medium within the main body. In addition, the HSR system and apparatus may also include a cylindrical body or hydro-vortex generator within the main body having a plurality of horizontally positioned rods projecting therefrom, wherein the cylindrical body further comprises a plurality of openings. Further, the HSR system and apparatus can include a motor configured to rotate the cylindrical body thereby directing the first and second fluid mediums through the cylindrical body. In addition, a first area within the main body can receive the pollutant particles from the first fluid medium, and a first outlet within the main body can be configured to direct the received pollutant particles out of the main body.
Cleaning system for a vehicle component
A cleaning system for removal of contaminants from a surface of a vehicle component exposed to a gas or fluid flow, the cleaning system comprising: an excitation device adapted to be attached to the vehicle component in the vicinity of the surface exposed to contaminants, wherein the excitation device is configured to cause the surface to mechanically vibrate by transferring a vibrational excitation to the surface; wherein the frequency of the vibrational excitation is controllable to be based on the configuration of the vehicle component as well as other modelled/measured parameters.
Noise abatement system for internal combustion engines
A noise abatement system for internal combustion engines comprising: a containment body (12) equipped with an inlet hole (6) for the entry of exhaust gases from an internal combustion engine, a plurality of expansion chambers (10) placed in sequence and separated by parallel dividing partitions (13), each equipped with a through-hole (4) for the passage of gases placing in fluid communication two neighboring expansion chambers (10); said expansion chambers (10) having two opposing through-holes (4), one as gas inlet and one as gas outlet. A rotating shaft (9) is integrated in a rotating turbine (1), along an axis comprising the center of gravity of the expansion chambers (10) up to an opposite end of the containment body (12), said rotating shaft (9) having placed around said axis and on said shaft (9) rotary fins (3) which open and close the through-holes (4) between expansion chambers (10) alternately and generating a swirling movement of the flow of gas entering each expansion chamber (10).
EXHAUST AFTERTREATMENT SYSTEM
An exhaust aftertreatment system for an internal combustion engine includes an outer casing defining an exhaust flow path for exhaust gases from the internal combustion engine, a selective catalytic reduction unit provided in the exhaust flow path for reducing nitrogen oxides, a urea dosing device for adding urea to the exhaust flow upstream of the selective catalytic reduction unit, and a rotatable mixer device for mixing the urea with exhaust gases upstream of the selective catalytic reduction unit. The exhaust aftertreatment system further comprises an air inlet valve provided upstream of the mixer device for introducing air into the exhaust flow path, and an electric motor arranged for rotating the mixer device to create a suction of air into the exhaust flow path via the air inlet valve.
DIESEL PARTICULATE FILTER REGENERATION SYSTEM
Methods and systems are provided for regeneration of a particulate filter including a filter body having a filter paper looped along a plurality of rolling guides. At least one rolling guide may be a roller heater having a motor and a heater. Activation of the roller heater based on a pressure difference across the particulate filter regenerates the particulate filter during a regeneration phase and positions a regenerated section of the filter paper for trapping soot in a subsequent soot loading phase.
