COATING STRUCTURE, HEAT EXCHANGER, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING HEAT EXCHANGER

A coating structure includes a base made of metal, a foundation layer provided on the base, and an insulation film provided on the foundation layer. The insulation film includes a plurality of layers, each layer of the plurality of layers being different in material, the plurality of layers being layered alternately with each other. The foundation layer is provided by a method other than a coating method using a surface chemical reaction occurring on the base, and a part of the foundation layer in contact with the base is amorphous. According to this, when a foreign material adheres on the base, the foreign material can be covered by the foundation layer. Since the insulation film is provided on the foundation layer, forming defects of the insulation film caused by the foreign material can be limited.

Sensor

A sensor including a sensor element, a metallic shell, a terminal fitting, a cylindrical case, lead wires, a connector portion, and a cylindrical heat shield tube. The heat shield tube includes a first tube and a second tube. The second tube is disposed on a distal end side of the first tube and covers an outer surface of the rear end side of the case, while providing an overlapping portion that overlaps the first tube. A rear end side of the first tube is adjacent to the connector portion. A total length T of the heat shield tube and a length S of the overlapping portion satisfy T/10≤S≤T/5. Further, a length L1 of the first tube and a length L2 of the second tube satisfy T/2≤L2<L1.

Exhaust system for engine

Provided is an exhaust system for an engine in which a fastening force of a fastener hardly decreases. An exhaust system for an engine includes: an exhaust passage component of ferrous metal; and a fastener that fastens the exhaust passage component to other parts, the exhaust passage component including a pressure receiving surface that receives a fastening force of the fastener. The oxide film of triiron tetraoxide is formed on the pressure receiving surface of the exhaust passage component. It is preferable that the oxide film of triiron tetraoxide be also formed on an outer surface other than the pressure receiving surface of the exhaust passage component. It is preferable that the oxide film of triiron tetraoxide be also formed on an inner surface of the exhaust passage component.

DIESEL EXHAUST FLUID INJECTION SHIELD AND DIESEL EXHAUST FLUID INJECTION SYSTEM

A shield for a diesel exhaust fluid injector is mounted horizontally in an opening in a side wall of an exhaust gas aftertreatment system of an internal combustion engine. The diesel exhaust fluid injector configured to inject diesel exhaust fluid in a direction generally normal to the side wall into a mixer positioned in an exhaust gas stream. The shield may include a first portion extending axially and a second portion extending radially inwardly from the first portion.

In a heat exchanger installed on an intake path or exhaust path of an internal combustion engine and configured to cool gas by transferring heat between the gas containing exhaust and refrigerant, a water-repellent portion is formed at part of a portion that contacts the gas in a gas path through which the gas flows, and a hydrophilic portion is formed at another part of the portion. The water-repellent portion is a portion provided with water-repellent treatment. The hydrophilic portion is a portion provided with hydrophilic treatment. The hydrophilic portion is formed at a part having a temperature lower than the temperature of the part at which the water-repellent portion is formed while the heat exchanger is actuated.

SYSTEM FOR REDUCING BAND CLAMP FAILURE

A system and a method for reducing band clamp failure on a multi-piece canister having an at least one first section coupled to an at least one second section by a band clamp, the system and method comprising a band clamp cover, wherein the band clamp cover comprises a cover first section and a cover second section, the cover first section is coupled to the cover second section at a first end by a hinge, the cover first section is coupled to the cover second section at a second end by removable fastener, the band clamp cover having a shape of the multi-piece canister, wherein the band clamp cover has a channel that encompasses the band clamp.

THERMOELECTRIC MODULE FOR POWER GENERATION AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR
20210057629 · 2021-02-25 ·

The invention relates to a thermoelectric module for thermoelectric current generation, in particular in an exhaust gas system of an internal combustion engine, with a base plate and a plurality of thermocouples each with two legs, the thermocouples being electrically connected in series and mounted on the base plate. The invention provides that the base plate consists of a metallic material. This enables a low-cost production, allows substantially larger formats and makes the thermoelectric module mechanically much less sensitive than a conventional base plate made of ceramic. Furthermore, the invention includes a corresponding production method.
