DIESEL PARTICULATE FILTER REGENERATION SYSTEM
Methods and systems are provided for regeneration of a particulate filter including a filter body having a filter paper looped along a plurality of rolling guides. At least one rolling guide may be a roller heater having a motor and a heater. Activation of the roller heater based on a pressure difference across the particulate filter regenerates the particulate filter during a regeneration phase and positions a regenerated section of the filter paper for trapping soot in a subsequent soot loading phase.

Internal combustion engine exhaust modification system
An internal combustion engine exhaust modification system for transforming exhaust emissions from an internal combustion engine into modified exhaust emissions. The exhaust modification system include a housing extending between inlet and outlet ends thereof. The housing has a first cross-sectional area at a first location that is downstream from the inlet end and a second cross-sectional area at a second location that is downstream from the first location. The second cross-sectional area is larger than the first cross-sectional area. The system also includes an impeller rotatably mounted in the housing, and a filter subassembly. The filter subassembly removes part of particulate matter and liquid droplets in the exhaust emissions to transform the exhaust emissions into modified exhaust emissions.

An emissions reduction system for a combined cycle power plant having a gas turbine engine and a heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) can comprise a duct defining a flow space configured to receive exhaust gas from the gas turbine and convey the exhaust gas into the HRSG, and a louver system coupled to the duct that can comprise a plurality of emission medium panels extending across the flow space, the emission medium panels configured to be moved between a first position where adjacent filter medium panels extend contiguously across the flow space of the duct and a second position where adjacent filter medium panels include spaces therebetween to provide an unobstructed flow path and an actuator to move the plurality of panels between the first position and the second position.
Soot particle filter and method for operating a soot particle filter
In order to provide a flow device which is of simple construction and is operable reliably and in an energy-efficient manner, it is proposed that the flow device comprise the following: a plurality of flow segments which each comprise one or more flow bodies and through which a stream of raw gas is arranged to flow for removing impurities in a cleaning mode, wherein the stream of raw gas is arranged to be supplied to the flow segments via a raw gas supply system and wherein a stream of clean gas that has been cleaned by means of the flow segments is removable from the flow segments by means of a clean gas removal system; a regeneration device for regenerating the flow segments, wherein the regeneration device comprises a docking device for establishing a temporary connection between one or more flow segments that are to be regenerated on the one hand and a heating device and/or a flushing device of the regeneration device on the other hand.

A device for reducing the emission of carbon particles from combustion of hydrocarbons, more particularly in exhaust emission of vehicles, includes a duality of electrically conducting rotating members with opposite polarities, charged with high voltage to create a corona discharge and agglomerate the ionized carbon particles. The carbon particles are cleaned using a plurality of wipers. The agglomerated carbon particles are then separated in a removable collection box or are optionally fed to a cyclone filter to be disposed. Various embodiments may be installed in existing vehicles as well as in open source pollution locations to helps control air pollution.

A device for reducing the emission of carbon particles from combustion of hydrocarbons, more particularly in exhaust emission of vehicles, includes a duality of electrically conducting rotating members with opposite polarities, charged with high voltage to create a corona discharge and agglomerate the ionized carbon particles. The carbon particles are cleaned using a plurality of wipers. The agglomerated carbon particles are then separated in a removable collection box or are optionally fed to a cyclone filter to be disposed. Various embodiments may be installed in existing vehicles as well as in open source pollution locations to helps control air pollution.
