20230313731 · 2023-10-05 ·

The disclosure relates to an anti-tampering device (100, 200, 300, 400, 500) for securing a cap (103, 203, 303, 403, 503) onto a neck of a degassing tank of a vehicle cooling circuit, wherein the device comprises locking means that are either attached to a shell configured to surround and/or secure the cap on the neck (104, 204, 304), or attached to the cap and the neck (404, 504) of the tank. The device may comprise tamper-evident means (227′, 306) to provide evidence of unlocking the locking means. Additionally or alternatively, the device may be configured to be removed only by destruction such that once removed, it can no longer be reused.

SAFETY RADIATOR CAP COVER WITH VALVE RELEASER
20230358332 · 2023-11-09 ·

The safety radiator cap cover with valve releaser provides protection from hot fluids for a person removing a cap with a pressure relief valve lever from an automotive radiator or other pressurized vessel. The cover includes a tapered handle across its top having side recesses to provide a firmer grip. The safety radiator cap cover includes an upper flange that directs the hot fluids predominately outward, and a lower flange that directs the hot fluid predominately downward. Inside the main body of the safety radiator cap cover is a cavity for receipt of the radiator cap. The valve releaser includes a wide pocket extending forward from the front end of the cavity for the receipt of the valve lever of the radiator cap. The rear end of the cavity includes a U-shaped recess for receipt of the radiator cap's rear tab to align the releaser with the lever.

Coolant cap mix-up prevention system for motor vehicle

This disclosure relates to a coolant cap mix-up prevention system for a motor vehicle. In one example, a motor vehicle includes a first coolant bottle configured for use with a first cap and a second coolant bottle configured for use with a second cap. The second coolant bottle is configured prevent attachment of the first cap to the second coolant bottle. A method is also disclosed.

SAFETY CAP FOR A LIQUID RESERVOIR FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE

A pressure cap structure for a cooling system having variable opening pressure, which is applied to a cooling system for circulating cooling water to radiate heat generated by an engine of a vehicle, and maintains the inside pressure of the cooling system in a predetermined range, the pressure cap may include a positive pressure spring mounted in a valve body, and operated to connect the cooling system to the outside when the pressure of the cooling system rises, and a shape memory member restored to the initial shape when reaching a predetermined temperature, and mounted between the positive pressure spring and a spring guard supporting the positive pressure spring.

Cap Assembly and Bottle Assembly
20240051701 · 2024-02-15 ·

The present application provides a cap assembly and a bottle assembly. The cap assembly includes a cap, an inner cylinder assembly, an elastic member and a blocking member. The cap includes a cap top and a cap side portion. The cap side portion is formed by extending downwardly from an outer edge of the cap top, and the cap top and the cap side portion define a cap cavity. The inner cylinder assembly is connected to the cap top, is arranged in the cap cavity, and forms an annular receiving portion with the cap side portion. The elastic member is arranged in the receiving portion. The blocking member is arranged in the receiving portion below the elastic member. The cap is provided with at least one locking portion for preventing the elastic member and the blocking member from falling from the receiving portion. The cap assembly has a lower height, and gas in a bottle body cavity can be exhausted from the bottle through an exhaust passage during opening of the bottle assembly according to the present application, especially when in an exhaust state.

TEMPERATURE INDICATING CAP ASSEMBLY
20180245505 · 2018-08-30 ·

A temperature indicating cap assembly includes a radiator cap that is removably attached to a fill neck on a radiator. A temperature indicator is coupled to the radiator cap. The temperature indicator is in thermal communication with the radiator when the radiator cap is removably coupled to the radiator. The temperature indicator indicates a safe temperature, a caution temperature and a danger temperature. In this way the temperature indicator communicates when the radiator cap may be safely removed from the radiator. A lock is coupled to the radiator cap and the lock is comprised of a thermally reactive material. Moreover, the lock engage the fill neck when the temperature of the radiator is above the caution temperature.
