Vehicular heat accumulating system
A heat accumulating unit includes an upstream heat accumulator and a downstream heat accumulator each accommodating a supercooling heat accumulating material. Each of the upstream heat accumulator and the downstream heat accumulator has a channel in which fluid flows. In heat accumulation of the supercooling heat accumulating material, the channel of the upstream heat accumulator and the channel of the downstream heat accumulator are set in a serial connection state by a serial connection pipe. In a temperature rise mode, fluid that has passed through the channel of the upstream heat accumulator flows in a bypass pipe.

PCJ solenoid valve diagnostic method
A method of diagnosing a PCJ solenoid valve includes determining whether a predetermined diagnostic condition is satisfied; performing diagnostic spraying by controlling the PCJ solenoid valve to cause the PCJ to spray oil for a predetermined diagnostic spraying time when the controller concludes that the predetermined diagnostic condition is satisfied; and diagnosing a failure of the PCJ solenoid valve by use of changes of oil pressure introduced to the PCJ or of PWM duty that controls an oil pump configured for pumping oil supplied to the PCJ after the diagnostic spraying from the PCJ.

Vehicle temperature adjustment system
A second temperature adjustment medium branches and flows into the first branch flow path and the second branch flow path at the branching portion, the second temperature adjustment medium and the second temperature adjustment medium are merged at the merging portion and flow through the pressure feed flow path to be supplied to the first pump, and the second temperature adjustment medium circulates through the second temperature adjustment circuit. A valve device configured to adjust a flow rate of the second temperature adjustment medium flowing through the second branch flow path is provided in the second branch flow path between the branching portion and the heat exchanger. The control device is configured to control the valve device to block the second temperature adjustment medium from flowing through the second branch flow path when a failure of the heat exchanger is detected.

System and method for controlling air heat exchanger of vehicle
A system for controlling an air heat exchanger of a vehicle includes an information collector which collects environmental information including a current speed of a vehicle, a desired air mass flow rate, and an ambient temperature. A storage stores the environmental information therein. A controller calculates a driving load and a cooling load in accordance with the environmental information and calculating a control amount of an air heat exchanger, at which a cost function that is a sum of the driving load and the cooling load is minimum.
ENGINE UNIT
An engine unit includes a cylinder, a crankshaft, a crankcase, a generator, a sensor, and a coolant passage. The crankshaft is connected to a piston in the cylinder. The crankcase accommodates the crankshaft therein. The generator includes a rotor that rotates together with the crankshaft and a stator facing the rotor. The generator generates electric power by rotation of the rotor. The sensor detects a rotation position of the rotor. The coolant passage includes an ejection port, guides a coolant to the ejection port, and ejects the coolant from the ejection port toward the sensor.
