COOLING SYSTEM FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
A heat radiation amount from the cooling water in the radiator is adjusted so that the temperature of the cooling water is less than a prescribed temperature that is a temperature higher than the threshold value if a load exerted on the internal combustion engine is not less than a predetermined load, while the heat radiation amount from the cooling water in the radiator is adjusted so that the heat radiation amount from the cooling water in the radiator is increased if the load exerted on the internal combustion engine is less than the predetermined load as compared with if the load exerted on the internal combustion engine is not less than the predetermined load.
Active warm-up system and method
A vehicle heating/cooling system has first and second fluid circulation loops for circulating engine coolant and automotive fluid. A first heat exchanger transfers heat from the coolant to air for the passenger compartment. A second heat exchanger transfers heat between the coolant and automotive fluid. A first valve has first and second inlets for receiving coolant from hot and cold coolant sources, and an outlet for discharging coolant to the second heat exchanger. A second valve has an inlet for receiving coolant from the first coolant source, and an outlet for discharging coolant to the first inlet of the first valve. The valve positions change with temperature of the coolant and the automotive fluid, providing preferential heating of the passenger compartment during cold start-up of the vehicle. The second heat exchanger and valves may be provided in a temperature control module.
System for fan control
A system for controlling a fan in a vehicle having a heat exchanger may include defining first and second geographic areas and determining a geographic location of the vehicle. A processor may be programmed to send a signal to operate the fan in a first rotational direction to move air through the heat exchanger in a first direction, and to send a signal to the fan to operate it in a second rotational direction opposite the first rotational direction to move air through the heat exchanger in a second direction opposite the first direction when a plurality of conditions are met.
INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE, STATE DETERMINATION SYSTEM FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE, DATA ANALYSIS DEVICE, AND CONTROL DEVICE FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
An internal combustion engine includes a state determination device. The state determination device includes a storage device and an execution device. The execution device executes an acquisition process, and a determination process. The execution device executes a guard process of bringing an internal combustion engine state variable closer to an allowable range or a value within the allowable range when the internal combustion engine state variable acquired in the acquisition process is out of the predetermined allowable range. The execution device determines the state of the internal combustion engine based on the internal combustion engine state variable after the guard process in the subsequent determination process when the guard process is executed.

Engine coolant cooling system for vehicle
The present invention relates to an engine coolant cooling system for a vehicle, and provides an engine coolant cooling system for a vehicle, which can increase the heat-dissipation performance of a radiator if necessary without increasing the size of the radiator, securing the cooling performance of the coolant.

Cooling device for internal combustion engine
A cooling device for an internal combustion engine includes a pump portion, a circulation water passage, a thermostat configured to switch between a state where the coolant is circulated to a heat exchange water passage on which a radiator is disposed and a state where the coolant is not circulated to the heat exchange water passage, and a control unit configured to control the pump portion. The control unit is configured to control a three-way valve such that a first pump and a second pump are connected in parallel when the thermostat switches to the state where the coolant is circulated to the heat exchange water passage and controls the three-way valve such that the first pump and the second pump are connected in series when the thermostat switches to the state where the coolant is not circulated to the heat exchange water passage.
