METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING THE TEMPERATURE OF AN ENGINE
A system for controlling the temperature of an engine, which includes at least one cylinder. The system includes a turbocharger and at least one air-nozzle. The turbocharger includes exhaust-gas-inlet-port, an exhaust-gas-outlet-port, an air-inlet-port, a compressed-air-outlet-port, a turbine and a compressor. The exhaust-gas-inlet-port is coupled with the exhaust-gas-outlet of the engine. Exhaust gas from the engine rotates the turbine, which rotates the compressor. The compressor draws air from the air inlet port, compresses the air thereby increasing the pressure thereof, and provides the compressed air to the compressed-air-outlet-port. An inlet of the air-nozzle or nozzles is coupled with the compressed-air-outlet-port. The air-nozzle or nozzles are directed toward a respective one of the at least one cylinder, and directs a flow of air toward the respective one of the at least one cylinder.
Systems and methods for preventing engine overcooling
A cooling system includes an internal combustion engine, a coolant pump in fluid communication with the internal combustion engine, and a liquid-to-liquid heat exchanger configured to receive coolant from the internal combustion engine via the coolant pump. The cooling system also includes a bypass valve connected downstream of the coolant pump, the bypass valve configured to close a fluid path that connects the coolant pump and the liquid-to-liquid heat exchanger.
VEHICULAR COOLING SYSTEM
A series-hybrid vehicle includes an internal combustion engine for electric power generation and a motor generator for travelling. The internal combustion engine is cooled by a second coolant water circuit that has a main radiator. A first coolant water circuit having a sub radiator is used to cool a front wheel-side power train cooling part, a rear wheel-side power train cooling part, a water-cooled condenser, and a low temperature-side intercooler. When the vehicle is accelerating, an electrical compressor for an air conditioner comes to a stop, and the circulation of refrigerant to the water-cooled condenser is brought to a halt.
Arrangement of exchangers for marinization of a marine engine
An arrangement of exchangers for marinization of a marine engine, including an engine block with in-line cylinders or cylinders in a V, cooled by a cooling fluid, at least one turbocompressor with a hot chamber connected to an outlet and a cold chamber connected to the cylinders of the engine block, a reverser including a housing and containing oil, wherein the arrangement includes: a radiator hose for supplying cooling water, a turbocompressor exchanger, an engine exchanger, a reverser exchanger, a radiator hose for discharging cooling water toward an outlet of combustion gases, downstream from the hot chamber of the at least one turbocompressor,
with these three exchangers being placed in this order and inserted in the circulation direction of the water between the radiator hose for supplying the cooling water and the radiator hose for discharging this same cooling water.
HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE
A hybrid electric vehicle includes: an engine including a turbocharger and an intercooler that cools intake air; a motor; an inverter for driving the motor; a cooling device for cooling the inverter and the intake air by circulating a cooling medium by a circulation pump in a circulation path including a cooling flow path for cooling the inverter and a cooling flow path for the intercooler as a flow path; and a control device for controlling the cooling device. The control device permits forced drive of the circulation pump from an outside when predetermined conditions including a condition that a vehicle speed is equal to or lower than a predetermined vehicle speed and a condition that a vehicle system is turned off are satisfied.
Recirculation system for a power system that includes a plurality of turbochargers
A recirculation system for a power system is disclosed. The recirculation system may determine, according to a sequence for individually activating a plurality of turbochargers of an engine, that a designated turbocharger of the plurality of turbochargers is to be activated. The recirculation system may cause a recirculation valve of a recirculation line to open to increase an airflow between an intake manifold and a compressor of the designated turbocharger.
Pressurized oil system powered by two-stroke engine
A two-stroke engine comprises a first oiling system and a second oiling system. The first oiling system includes a low-pressure pump that distributes oil from a first oil tank to the two-stroke engine. The second oiling system includes a pump mechanically coupled to a crankshaft of the two-stroke engine, wherein the pump distributes oil from a second oil tank to an accessory at a pressure greater than the first oil pressure, wherein oil distributed to the accessory is returned to the second oil tank.
VEHICLE COOLING DEVICE
A vehicle cooling device includes a first heat exchanger and a second heat exchanger. The first heat exchanger is a water-cooled intercooler that is configured to cool supercharged intake air. The second heat exchanger is a water-cooled EGR gas cooler that is configured to cool EGR gas. The first heat exchanger and the second heat exchanger are arranged in series on a cooling water circuit such that cooling water flowing out of the first heat exchanger flows into the second heat exchanger. The second heat exchanger is arranged in a position relatively lower than a height position of the first heat exchanger when the cooling device has been installed in a vehicle. Due to this height difference, the cooling water in the second heat exchanger has high pressure, and boiling of the cooling water is suppressed.
Gas heat pump system
