A vehicle drive includes a speed change mechanism connected to a rotary electric machine; an output member connected to the speed change mechanism and wheels; an engagement device changes a state of engagement between an input member connected to an engine and the speed change mechanism; a hydraulic pump driven by the engine or the rotary electric machine; a first pressure control device that controls pressure supplied from the pump and supplies the pressure to the speed change mechanism; a second, separate hydraulic pressure control device that controls the pressure supplied from the pump and supplies the pressure to the engagement device; and a case that houses the rotary electric machine, speed change mechanism, engagement device, and pump. At least the engagement device is housed in a space formed by the case, and the second hydraulic pressure control device is provided at a part of the case forming the space.

Generator module

A generator module includes a housing arranged for mounting to a rear face of an internal combustion engine, a generator stator fixed in the housing, a generator rotor arranged radially inside of the generator stator, and a bearing arranged to support a radial inside of the generator rotor on the housing. The generator rotor may include a rotor carrier and a plurality of stacked plates secured to the rotor carrier. The bearing may be at least partially radially aligned with the plurality of stacked plates.

A tractor trailer system includes a tractor and a trailer. The tractor includes a hotel device and an Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) configured to provide electrical power to the hotel device. The trailer is connected to the tractor, and includes a Transport Refrigeration Unit (TRU) having a TRU controller, an electrical TRU component, and a TRU Power Unit. The TRU controller is configured to utilize the APU to provide electrical power to the electrical TRU component during low TRU load conditions, and utilize the TRU Power Unit during high TRU load conditions.

A fuel delivery arrangement for a generator can include a throttle-mixing assembly including a mixer body defining a main port extending between an air inlet end and a mixed air-fuel outlet end and defining a fuel inlet port extending into the main port, a Venturi structure located within the main port and being configured to mix fuel received from the fuel inlet port with air received from the air inlet end and to deliver an air-fuel mixture to the air-fuel outlet, a fuel control valve assembly, mounted to the mixer body, including a first valve and a first actuator arranged to control a flow of the fuel passing through the fuel inlet port, and a throttle control valve assembly, mounted to the mixer body, including a second valve and a second actuator arranged to control a flow of the air-fuel mixture passing through the main port.

Electric camshaft phaser motor—generator

A cam phaser is described for selectively engaging in a torque transmitting mode or an angle control mode. In the torque transmitting mode, torque from a camshaft is transmitted to an e-motor, which functions as a generator and provides electrical energy.

Inverter generator

A standby generator includes a standby housing defining a cavity and an internal combustion engine. The engine includes an engine block including a cylinder comprising a piston, an engine housing at least partially covering the engine block, and a crankshaft configured to rotate about a vertical crankshaft axis in response to movement by the piston. The standby generator also includes an alternator configured to generate alternating current electrical power, a controller comprising a rectifier configured to convert the alternating current to a direct current and an inverter configured to convert the direct current to a clean alternating current electrical power, and a transfer switch configured to receive the clean alternating current electrical power from the controller and at least one of grid, solar, or battery power, and configured to supply power to an electrical load. The internal combustion engine, the alternator, and the controller are positioned within the cavity.

DOUBLE-SIDED OIL COOLER FOR USE IN A GENERATOR ENGINE

A standby generator includes an internal combustion engine, an alternator driven by the internal combustion engine to produce electrical power for distribution from the standby generator, and an adaptor component comprising a first end coupled to the engine and a second end spaced apart from the first end and coupled to the alternator. The adaptor component may be positioned such that the internal combustion engine is on a first side thereof and the alternator is on a second side thereof. An air-cooled oil cooler may be integrated with or affixed to the adapter component and include cooling fins formed on an outer surface thereof, the air-cooled oil cooler fluidly connected to the internal combustion engine to receive heated oil therefrom and return cooled oil thereto.

Methods and systems are proposed for controlling a temperature of exhaust gases generated by the engine by operating an E-Turbo of the vehicle. In one embodiment, a method is provided, comprising increasing a power generated by an electric machine mechanically coupled with an exhaust turbine of an E-Turbo of a vehicle or adjusting an engine power based on a speed of the exhaust turbine and an air-fuel ratio (AFR) of an engine of the vehicle of the engine responsive to the speed of the exhaust turbine increasing above a threshold turbine speed. By increasing or decreasing the power generated by the electric machine and/or adjusting the engine power, the temperature of the exhaust gas may be maintained within a threshold temperature range where an efficiency of an aftertreatment system may be maximized, thereby reducing an emissions of the vehicle.

BEARING ASSEMBLY

A bearing assembly with a consumer of electrical energy and at least one energy generating device, has a first component and a second component, which are arranged so as to be movable repetitively relative to one another. The energy generating device has at least one electrical conductor arranged in a loop shape and at least one permanent magnet, wherein the electrical conductor is arranged on the first component, and the permanent magnet is arranged on the second component.
