SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A CRYOGENIC FUEL SYSTEM
A method of operating a cryogenic fuel system for supplying fuel to an engine is provided herein. A cryogenic fuel pump is operated to pump fuel to be supplied to the engine. At least a portion of the pumped fuel is diverted to be supplied to an accumulator, when a fuel demand of the engine is less than a discharge output of the cryogenic fuel pump. Further, the supply of the pumped fuel from the cryogenic fuel pump to the engine and the accumulator is stopped, when a pressure within the accumulator reaches a first predefined pressure limit. Furthermore, the fuel is supplied to the engine from the accumulator, when supply of the pumped fuel from the cryogenic fuel pump to the engine and the accumulator is stopped.
METHOD AND GAS FUEL INJECTION UNIT FOR OPERATING AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
The present invention relates to a method for operating an internal combustion engine provided as a medium-speed gas engine or dual fuel engine in a gas fuel mode. The method comprises the step of directly injecting a gas fuel into a combustion chamber of the engine at a maximum injection pressure that is lower than a compression-end pressure of the engine.
FUEL INJECTION DEVICE FOR AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE, IN PARTICULAR FOR A HYDROGEN COMBUSTION ENGINE
The invention relates to a fuel injection device for an internal combustion engine comprising at least one central rail which is in fluid communication with at least one primary fuel tank, characterized in that at least one auxiliary fuel pressure accumulator is provided, the internal volume of which is in communication with the central rail via at least one control valve in order to temporarily provide a simultaneous fuel supply to the central rail from the auxiliary fuel pressure accumulator and the primary fuel tank.
Internal combustion engine
An internal combustion engine with at least one combustion chamber, at least one fuel delivery line for the delivery of fuel to at least one combustion chamber, and at least one differential pressure control valve for controlling the pressure in the at least one fuel delivery line. The at least one differential pressure control valve is configured to perform a valve opening or valve closing movement based on a pressure difference between the at least one fuel delivery line and a reference volume having a reference pressure. The internal combustion engine further includes at least one pressure relief valve, separate from the at least one differential pressure control valve, and configured to open to cause a pressure relief in the reference volume and a decrease in the reference pressure if a drop occurs in the power to be performed by the internal combustion engine.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR ENGINE COLD-START
Methods and systems are provided for injecting gaseous fuel during an engine start. In one example, a method comprises generating gaseous fuel via a fuel gasification device and injecting the gaseous fuel via a fuel injector. The fuel injector is configured to inject adjacent to an ignition device.
METHOD FOR OPERATING AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
The present disclosure relates to a method for operating a combustion engine. A main amount of gas fuel is fed via a pre-chamber into a main combustion chamber. An ignition quantity of gas fuel is fed into the pre-chamber before the piston reaches the upper dead center to form an air-gas fuel mixture in the pre-chamber, which is fatter than in the main combustion chamber. The air-gas fuel mixture in the pre-chamber ignites itself. The air-gas fuel mixture in the main combustion chamber ignites through the self-ignited air-gas fuel mixture in the pre-chamber.
SYSTEM FOR SUPPLYING HYDROGEN GAS TO ENGINE
A system for supplying hydrogen gas to an engine is disclosed. The system includes a main line configured to send hydrogen gas produced in a hydrogen gas producer by electrolysis to a supply line; a sub-line configured to send hydrogen gas from a hydrogen absorbing alloy cylinder to the main line, a governor configured to maintain an engine rotation speed within certain range; and a control device. The governor sends a signal corresponding to the engine rotation speed to the control device. A pressure regulating valve is disposed in the sub-line to be downstream with respect to the hydrogen absorbing alloy cylinder to regulate a supply amount of added hydrogen. An opening degree of the valve is adjusted based on a signal from the control device corresponding to the opening degree of the valve for supplying the added hydrogen with an amount according to a load state of the engine.
Gas engine heat pump
The present disclosure relates to a gas engine heat pump including: an engine which burns a mixed air of air and fuel; a first charger which compresses the mixed air and supplies to the engine; a first exhaust flow path which is connected to the engine, and through which exhaust gas discharged from the engine flows; and a second charger which is driven by the exhaust gas branched from the first exhaust flow path to a second exhaust flow path, and compresses the exhaust gas discharged from the engine and supplies the compressed exhaust gas to the engine, thereby reducing the emission of nitrogen oxide by recirculating the exhaust gas without additional power consumption.
Control system for internal combustion engine and inert gas concentration detecting device for compressed natural gas
In a control system that includes a pressure accumulating portion that supplies CNG to a fuel injection valve and a regulator that adjusts a pressure in the pressure accumulating portion to a set pressure and of which a valve element opens when CNG is supplied to the pressure accumulating portion and closes when supply of CNG to the pressure accumulating portion is shut off, a control parameter relating to a combustion state in an internal combustion engine is controlled on the basis of a length of a period during which an opening degree of the valve element reduces from a first predetermined opening degree to a second predetermined opening degree when the pressure in the pressure accumulating portion is adjusted to the set pressure by the regulator.
Internal combustion engine
An internal combustion engine including a pre-chamber connected to a pre-chamber feed conduit for supplying the pre-chamber with a fuel (F), and a main combustion chamber. Fuel (F) in the main combustion chamber can be ignited by an ignition flare which passes from the at least one pre-chamber into the at least one main combustion chamber and which is produced by ignition of fuel (F) in the pre-chamber. At least one valve can be open-loop or closed-loop controlled by an open-loop or closed-loop control device depending on a parameter characteristic of a change in a power produced by the internal combustion engine, and/or by which a pre-chamber fuel flow directed through the pre-chamber feed conduit to the at least one pre-chamber can be at least partially diverted into a volume separate from the at least one pre-chamber.
