The aggregation circuit is structured to interpret fuel data indicative of a fuel composition of a fuel provided by a fuel source from a plurality of gas quality sensors. Each gas quality sensor is associated with an individual engine system. Each engine system is positioned at a respective geographic location. The calibration circuit is structured to compare the fuel data received from each of the plurality of gas quality sensors that are located within a geographic area, determine a gas quality sensor miscalibration value for the plurality of gas quality sensors within the geographic area based on the fuel data received from each of the plurality of gas quality sensors within the geographic area, and remotely calibrate a miscalibrated gas quality sensor based on the gas quality sensor miscalibration value.

If the type of fuel in the auxiliary fuel tank is a primary fuel type (such as diesel or gasoline), the flow management device can deliver the primary fuel to a piston cylinder of the engine. If the type of fuel in the auxiliary fuel tank is an auxiliary fuel (such as a mixture of ethanol and water the flow management device can deliver the auxiliary fuel to an air intake system of the engine.

The present disclosure relates to assessing the intake air flow of industrial engines. For an industrial engine that receives vent gas added to intake air for combustion, a gas concentration sensor is used to measure a concentration of a particular gas, e.g. methane, in the intake air. An amount of the methane component in the intake air flowing to the engine that was added by the vent gas can be determined from the measured concentration of methane in the intake air and a flow rate of the intake air. The intake air flow rate may be directly measured, or calculated using instrumentation which may already be in place for engine air-to-fuel ratio control.

The present disclosure relates to assessing the intake air flow of industrial engines. A method for detecting the quantity of gas (m) supplied by a gas supply device to an antechamber of an internal combustion engine. The method includes causing a targeted disturbance (u) of the gas quantity (m) supplied by the gas supply device, and measuring a change (T) resulting from the target disturbance (u) in an exhaust gas temperature (T) of an exhaust gas generated in a combustion chamber connected to the antechamber. The method includes comparing the change (T) with a target value of the change (Ttarget) of the exhaust gas temperature (T) to obtain a comparison, and deducing the gas quantity (m) supplied by the gas supply based on the comparison.
