Control Device for High-Pressure Fuel Pump
Low noise control of a high-pressure fuel pump is performed by reducing noise generated by an anchor colliding with a fixing core. A control device 800 for a high-pressure fuel pump controls a suction valve that opens and closes an inflow port through which fuel flows to a pressurizing chamber by performing energization to a solenoid 205 in synchronization with a reciprocating motion of a plunger. A current energized to the solenoid 205 includes a peak current for giving a force to start closing a valve to the suction valve in a stationary state and a holding current for performing switching in a range smaller a maximum value of the peak current in order to hold the suction valve in a valve closing state. When the control device 800 reduces a peak current application amount of the peak current from a value sufficient to close the high-pressure fuel pump, a valve closing speed of the suction valve becomes small up to a certain application amount, and when the peak current application amount becomes smaller than the application amount, there is a saturation range of a current application amount of the peak current in which the valve closing speed of the suction valve is saturated. The control device 800 controls the current application amount of the peak current to fall in the saturation range.
Injector, and device for detecting the condition of such an injector
The present invention relates to an injector for injecting fuel, comprising an injector housing, a movable nozzle needle which is arranged in the injector housing and has a nozzle needle tip, a nozzle needle seat for receiving the nozzle needle tip, and a mechanical switch which upon contact of the nozzle needle tip with the nozzle needle seat assumes a closed state and upon interruption of the contact assumes an open state, wherein the injector is provided with an input line and an output line for actuating a movement of the nozzle needle, and the switch includes a first terminal and a second terminal. The injector is characterized in that the first terminal of the switch is connected to the input line and the second terminal of the switch is connected to the injector housing.
Injection control device
A first switch designates one of energization instruction signals to designate a valve closing detection cylinder. A valve closing detection unit monitors downstream voltages of the fuel injection valves to detect occurrence of an inflection point in change of the downstream voltages and detects valve closing. A second switch designates one of the downstream voltages and designates the valve closing detection cylinder. A stage number designation unit designates a valve closing detection stage number. A valve closing time measuring unit measures a valve closing time, which is from a switching timing at which the energization instruction signal is switched from ON to OFF to a valve closing detection timing of the valve closing, for injection of the valve closing detection stage number of the valve closing detection cylinder. A valve closing time learning unit learns the valve closing time measured by the valve closing time measuring unit.

The present invention determines whether multi-stage injection control is operating normally or abnormally, and carries out a failsafe of multi-stage injection control as necessary. The present invention, which solves the problem described above, has means such as the following. The invention is provided with fuel injection valves provided respectively to each cylinder, an opened/closed valve detection means for detecting either one or both of an open valve state and a closed valve state of the fuel injection valves on the basis of the drive currents or drive voltages of the fuel injection valves, and a detection execution determination means for determining a detection execution time period including the detection start timing and the detection end timing of the open valve state or closed valve state; detection interference such as overlapping detection with another cylinder and overlapping of open valve detection and closed valve detection being preventable, and risks such as erroneous detection being reducible.
System and method for controlling fuel supplied to an engine
Systems and methods for determining fuel delay in a fuel injected engine with cylinders that may be deactivated are presented. In one example, the fuel injection delay is determined via a cylinder firing schedule array when the cylinder firing schedule array is available. The fuel injection delay is determined via weighted average of a fuel injection delay of a present engine cycle and a fuel injection delay of a past engine cycle when the cylinder firing schedule array is not available.

A method for determining a characteristic variable for opening and/or closing a flow-through opening of a solenoid valve, in which solenoid valve a solenoid coil is energized to raise an armature to open the flow-through opening for a fluid. During operation of the solenoid valve, a profile of a current in the solenoid coil being determined, and using a pattern recognition method based on artificial intelligence, the characteristic variable(s) is/are determined based on at least one section of the profile or a profile derived therefrom using a neural network. A method for applying and for training a pattern recognition method based on artificial intelligence are also described.

A device comprises: an injector for injecting fuel into an engine combustion chamber, a switch formed by an injector housing and an injector nozzle needle and which changes its switching state depending on a closed or open state of the injector, an input line for supplying energy to an actuating element which adjusts the nozzle needle in its two states, an output line for conducting energy away from the actuating element, and an evaluation unit for detecting the switching state of the switch, wherein a first switch contact of the switch is connected to an electrical input line of the injector, a second switch contact of the switch is connected to ground, and the evaluation unit is configured to carry out a signal measurementon the input line and/or an output line to conclude a switch state.
Control device for fuel injection valve and fuel injection system
A control device controls a drive current that flows through a drive coil of a fuel injection valve that is electromagnetically driven. A control device includes a determination unit configured to determine whether a supply fuel pressure, which is a pressure of fuel supplied to the fuel injection valve, is higher than a determination pressure at which the fuel pressure is determined abnormally high; a first control unit configured to control the drive current in a first mode when the determination unit determines that the supply fuel pressure is not higher than the determination pressure; and a second control unit configured to control the drive current in a second mode that facilitates maintaining of the fuel injection valve in an open state more than in the first mode when the determination unit determines that the supply fuel pressure is higher than the determination pressure.
