CONTROL DEVICE FOR FUEL INJECTION VALVE
The present invention determines whether multi-stage injection control is operating normally or abnormally, and carries out a failsafe of multi-stage injection control as necessary. The present invention, which solves the problem described above, has means such as the following. The invention is provided with fuel injection valves provided respectively to each cylinder, an opened/closed valve detection means for detecting either one or both of an open valve state and a closed valve state of the fuel injection valves on the basis of the drive currents or drive voltages of the fuel injection valves, and a detection execution determination means for determining a detection execution time period including the detection start timing and the detection end timing of the open valve state or closed valve state; detection interference such as overlapping detection with another cylinder and overlapping of open valve detection and closed valve detection being preventable, and risks such as erroneous detection being reducible.
METHOD OF DETERMINING FUEL EVAPORATION FROM AN ENGINE OIL SUMP
A method of determining the total evaporation rate of fuel from an oil sump of an engine comprising: a) defining for said fuel, a plurality (n-1) of zones, each zone comprising a separate temperature range, and corresponding to a particular fuel constituent portion; b) determining or estimating the mass of said particular fuel constituent portion present in the sump for each zone; c) for each zone, determining an evaporation rate based on oil temperature; and the corresponding mass determined in step b); d) summing the evaporation rates for each zone from step c) to provide said total evaporation rate.
CONTROLLER FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE AND CONTROL METHOD FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
A controller for an internal combustion engine includes a detector and a processor. The detector detects a combustion condition of a gas in a cylinder of the internal combustion engine. The processor is configured to calculate a fuel ratio in the gas in the cylinder. The processor is configured to calculate a target combustion condition according to the fuel ratio. The processor is configured to calculate an ignition timing such that the combustion condition detected by the detector becomes equal to the target combustion condition.
Combustion system controller
A combustion system controller controls an operation of a combustion system including an internal combustion engine. The combustion system controller includes a mixing ratio acquisition portion and a control portion. The mixing ratio acquisition portion acquires the mixing ratios of various components included in a fuel. The control portion controls the operation of the combustion system based on the mixing ratios acquired by the mixing ratio acquisition portion.
Tolerance and wear compensation of a fuel pump
A method determines an inflection point OP of a parameter profile i, n which is representative of a component tolerance and a state of wear of a fuel pump. The fuel pump is provided for a fuel supply system for use in a device equipped with an internal combustion engine. The device being a passenger car, utility vehicle and/or a stationary or mobile power generator.
REMAINING FUEL AMOUNT WARNING DEVICE FOR MOTORCYCLE
A remaining fuel amount warning device for a vehicle, the remaining fuel amount warning device giving a warning that an amount of fuel remaining in a fuel tank is smaller than a predetermined value on the basis of output of a fuel gauge measuring the remaining fuel amount, includes combustion state changing device for changing the combustion state of an engine. When the remaining fuel amount becomes smaller than the predetermined value, the remaining fuel amount warning device performs remaining amount warning control that produces vibration different than during normal operation by changing the combustion state of the engine by the combustion state changing device. A starter switch for starting the engine is made to serve also as a warning acknowledging button for stopping the remaining amount warning control for a predetermined time on the basis of an operation by an occupant.
EVAPORATED FUEL PROCESSING DEVICE
An evaporated fuel processing device configured to adsorb evaporated fuel in a fuel tank to a canister and to feed the adsorbed evaporated fuel to an engine. The device includes an inner pressure sensor configured to detect a pressure in an interior space of the fuel tank, a valve-opening start position determination means configured to change the stroke amount of a flow control valve from an initial condition and to determine a valve-opening start position of the flow control valve based on a requirement that a range of variation of the inner pressure is equal to or greater than a predetermined value, a learning means configured to store the valve-opening start position, and a prohibition means configured to prohibit the valve-opening start position determination means from determining the valve-opening start position when the inner pressure falls within a predetermined pressure range relative to the atmospheric pressure.
CONTROL DEVICE OF INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
In control device of an internal combustion engine, for each first period, a calculation unit calculates number of fuel injections within one combustion cycle and fuel injection rate. For first period, a first storage unit stores number of fuel injections and fuel injection rate of calculation unit. For each second period, a reference unit refers to the number of fuel injections and fuel injection rate stored by the first storage unit. A second storage unit stores for an interval, from the start time of the first fuel injection until start of the last fuel injection of at least one combustion cycle, the number of fuel injections and fuel injection rate referred to by reference unit. A control unit controls a fuel injection valve so that fuel is injected in accordance with the number of fuel injections fuel injection rate stored by second storage unit.
Method and system for regeneration in a vehicle in a consist
Methods and systems for distributing engine output among vehicles of a consist are disclosed. One example system comprises a controller including non-transitory media having instructions stored on the media and executed by the controller for adjusting distribution of engine output between at least a first engine and a second engine in response to a regeneration mode, wherein the regeneration mode regenerates an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cooler that is coupled to the first engine.
Internal combustion engine control device
An internal combustion engine control device (1) includes an injector-temperature calculation unit (21a), an engine-temperature calculation unit (21b), an operating-state control unit (21c), a cold/warmed-up state determination unit (21d), an ambient-temperature calculation unit (21e), and a correction unit (21f). The correction unit (21f) corrects an engine temperature calculated based on an injector temperature, when it is determined that an engine is in a cold state and a difference between the injector temperature and an ambient temperature is equal to or larger than a first predetermined value.
