MIXED FUEL ENGINE

A system, method and circuit restricts the amount of a first fuel being provided to a duel-fuel engine, for example a diesel—natural gas engine; wherein a secondary circuit is provided, in parallel, to the circuit formed between the engine control unit, first fuel injector, and ground comprising a dummy load, and a normally closed switch inserted in the first fuel injection circuit; such that when the normally open switch is in a closed state the dummy load provides a resistance to the second sub-circuit, such that a total resistance in the second sub-circuit is equal to a total resistance in the first sub-circuit when the normally closed switch is in a closed state.

The invented system adds some petrol fuel to the vehicle engine which runs with natural gas (CNG or LPG). It causes a simultaneous combustion of petrol and natural gas (CNG or LPG). This action decreases depreciation of engine, increases power of the engine and reduces fuel consumption in natural gas vehicles. The above-mentioned system consists of an innovative petrol holder storage, an electronically circuit, a relay, a lever micro switch and a petrol fuel injector. Whenever the accelerator pedal is pressed more than a certain amount, the system will be activated and command to inject petrol collected in the storage into the air manifold.

DUAL FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM FOR OPTIMIZING FUEL USAGE AND MINIMIZING SLIP FOR DIESEL AND GASOLINE ENGINES
20230175430 · 2023-06-08 ·

The invention involves a system and method for providing a liquid fuel or a liquid and gaseous fuel to a diesel or Otto cycle engine for operation of the engine. The system includes a primary electronic control module (ECM), which monitors engine sensors and contains a first three-dimensional fuel map for the liquid fuel. A second ECM is connected for bi-directional transfer of information to the first ECM, the second ECM contains a second three-dimensional fuel map for delivery of the gaseous fuel through a secondary gaseous fuel injection assembly. The bi-directional communication between the two ECMs while monitoring the engine sensors allows both ECMs to “learn” an efficient fuel map for delivery of both fuels in the same cycle for improved efficiency, reduction in slip and lower emissions.

Devices and methods are described for remotely tuning a diesel engine of a vehicle using a pneumatic control device. A tunable control system for an aneroid fuel control (AFC) injection system includes a pneumatic control device that has a pneumatic pressure regulator configured to be adjusted by a first tuning adjustment controller and a pneumatic flow control valve configured to be adjusted by a second tuning adjustment controller. An air signal line links the pressure regulator to the flow control valve. The control system also includes an inlet line connected to the control device and configured to be connected to an air pressure source of an engine. An outlet line is connected to the control device and is configured to be connected to an AFC of an engine.

Mixed fuel system

The present invention provides a novel combination of devices to measure and transmit to an electronic controller data pertaining to differential pressures, temperatures, regeneration status, exhaust content, accumulated gas consumption and substitute fuel consumption. The electronic controller compares the data to thresholds; when the controller receives signals indicating these thresholds or limits are met, the controller causes the gas substitution rate to be diminished or set to zero until after-treatments elements are fully regenerated thereby facilitating integration of a mixed fuel system with an application internal combustion engine.
