CONTROL SYSTEM FOR WORK VEHICLE, CONTROL METHOD, AND WORK VEHICLE
A control system for a work vehicle includes an acceleration detection device and a controller. The acceleration detection device detects an acceleration of the work vehicle. The controller determines whether the acceleration is greater than a first threshold and reduces the a vehicle speed when the acceleration continues to be equal to or greater than the first threshold over a predetermined first determination time period.

The invention relates to a method for operating a fuel supply pump of a vehicle, the vehicle comprising a combustion engine system and a gearbox, the method comprising the steps of: determining one or more operational values of at least one operational parameter of the combustion engine system; determining a reduction of a fuel provision rate to the combustion engine system; determining whether a gear step change of the gearbox is at hand, on the basis of the determined one or more operational values of the at least one operational parameter; and in case a gear step change of the gearbox is at hand, controlling operation of the fuel supply pump so as to maintain fuel supply pump speed.
Straddled vehicle
A straddled vehicle has a plurality of modes for engine brake controlling. The straddle vehicle includes a mode setter that selectively sets one of at least a normal mode and a first reduced mode that are included in the plurality of modes. An engine controller controls an electronic throttle valve and a fuel injector so that a torque of an internal combustion engine is equal to a target torque. When the torque of the internal combustion engine is less than zero while in the first reduced mode, an engine brake controller corrects the target torque by adding a first additive torque to the target torque. The first additive torque is set so as to be smaller as an amount of operation of an accelerator grip becomes larger so that an opening of the electronic throttle valve increases as the amount of operation of the accelerator grip increases.
Prediction of driver's intention to stop for engine start/stop
A predictive driver intention to stop (DITS) system for a vehicle having an engine includes one or more sensors configured to measure a set of operating parameters of the vehicle including at least (i) vehicle speed and (ii) vehicle deceleration rate. A controller is configured to identify no-stop braking events and complete stop braking events, and reference a generated baseline probability table indicating a probability of a driver braking to bring the vehicle to a stop, based on at least the vehicle speed and vehicle deceleration rate measured during at least one of the identified no-stop braking events and complete stop braking events. The controller is further configured to predict a DITS event based on the generated baseline probability table, and control operation of the engine based on the predicted DITS event to facilitate reducing vehicle fuel consumption and/or tailpipe emissions.
DRIVING-ASSISTANCE CONTROL APPARATUS
The objective is to improve driving feeling at a time of acceleration operation or deceleration operation, by recognizing driver's intention of acceleration or deceleration during straight-ahead running. A driving-assistance control apparatus according to the present disclosure includes a straight-running determination unit that determines whether or not a vehicle is running straight, a head-position detection unit that detects a head position of a driver, a driving-posture determination unit that determines the posture of the driver, based on the head position detected by the head-position detection unit, and a driving-assistance control unit that performs acceleration preparation control for raising a reaction speed for acceleration operation or deceleration preparation control for raising a reaction speed for deceleration operation in accordance with an output of the driving-posture determination unit, when the straight-running determination unit determines that a vehicle is running straight.
Method of generating vehicle control data, vehicle control device, and vehicle control system
A method of generating vehicle control data is provided. The method is executed using a processor and a storage device and includes: storing first data that prescribe a relationship between a state of a vehicle and an action variable that indicates an action related to an operation of an electronic device; acquiring a detection value from a sensor that detects the state of the vehicle; operating the electronic device; calculating a reward, on the basis of the acquired detection value; in a case where a predetermined condition is met, updating the first data using, as inputs to update mapping determined in advance, the state of the vehicle, a value of the action variable, and the reward; and in a case where the state of the vehicle does not meet the predetermined condition, obtaining second data by adapting the relationship between the state of the vehicle and the action variable.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A FUEL SUPPLY PUMP OF A VEHICLE
METHOD FOR OPTIMISING THE TIME GRADIENT OF THE PRESSURE INCREASE IN AN INJECTION SYSTEM OF A HYBRID MOTOR VEHICLE
Disclosed is a method for optimizing the time gradient of the pressure increase in a fuel injection system of a hybrid motor vehicle. The method determines and uses the engine torque generated by the electric machine of the vehicle to reduce the engine torque generated by the internal combustion engine of the vehicle and allow the high-pressure pump of the internal combustion engine to generate, if applicable, a higher value of the time gradient of the pressure increase in the common supply chamber of its injection system.
Engine assembly having a turbocharger
An engine assembly for a vehicle includes an engine and a turbocharger operatively connected thereto. A controller is configured to, based on at least one performance parameter associated with the vehicle, execute a pre-acceleration control sequence including: delaying ignition within the engine's cylinders to increase a temperature of exhaust gas discharged to the turbocharger and reduce a torque of the engine; deactivating at least one cylinder in a predetermined pattern to reduce the torque of the engine; actuating a throttle valve to increase air flow to the engine to (i) increase the torque of the engine, and (ii) increase a volume of exhaust gas discharged to the turbocharger; and increasing a volume of fuel injected by the fuel injectors into the cylinders so as to increase the torque of the engine thereby compensating at least in part reduction of the torque of the engine.
Inhibition device for preventing unintended acceleration of a vehicle
The inhibition device includes a micro-controller configured with a triggering condition including a number of intervals and, for each interval, a corresponding duration and a corresponding threshold. Each interval is a range specifying how much the vehicle's acceleration pedal has changed its position in terms of percentages of a pedal stroke. Each duration specifies the fastest time duration allowable for the acceleration pedal to attain a corresponding interval of pedal position change. The micro-controller converts progress signals of the acceleration pedal to corresponding percentages, obtains a difference DEF between the successive percentages, records a time duration RES between successive progress signals, and calculates DEF/RES=X. When X is greater than or equal to a threshold of a corresponding interval, the micro-controller sends an idle signal to the vehicle's engine control unit or intercepts the progress signals to prevent them from reaching the engine control unit.
