Gas sensor element and gas sensor
A gas sensor element comprising a long plate-like element body and a porous protective layer protecting a surface of the element body, wherein the element body has a gas detection part at an end thereof on one end face side in a longitudinal direction, and the protective layer includes an end face part covering the one end face in laminate, side face parts covering side faces connected to the one end face in laminate, and corner parts where two adjacent ones of the end face part and the side face parts meet. An outer surface of one or more of the end face part and the side face parts has a concave shape that is smoothly continuous with the corner parts and configured such that a layer thickness increases toward the corner parts.
Cleaning system for a vehicle component
A cleaning system for removal of contaminants from a surface of a vehicle component exposed to a gas or fluid flow, the cleaning system comprising: an excitation device adapted to be attached to the vehicle component in the vicinity of the surface exposed to contaminants, wherein the excitation device is configured to cause the surface to mechanically vibrate by transferring a vibrational excitation to the surface; wherein the frequency of the vibrational excitation is controllable to be based on the configuration of the vehicle component as well as other modelled/measured parameters.
VALVE DEVICE
An electrically-operated actuator rotates a valve toward its closing side or opening side. A valve urging part urges the valve from a fully-closed position toward the opening side. An ACT control part controls the electrically-operated actuator to drive. A set load of the valve urging part is smaller than a set load that is capable of returning the valve from a fully-closed position to an intermediate position only by urging force of the valve urging part. When a position of the valve at time of turning off an IG switch for stopping operation of an internal-combustion engine is on the closing side of the intermediate position, the ACT control part shifts the valve to the intermediate position by the electrically-operated actuator after the IG switch is turned off.
ULTRA-LOW IDLE MANAGEMENT
A work vehicle may include an internal combustion engine, aftertreatment system, and at least one controller. The controller is configured to use a temperature of the aftertreatment system to determine a hydrocarbon level of the aftertreatment system, and set an idle speed of the engine to high idle if the hydrocarbon level is above a hydrocarbon ceiling, to ultra-low idle if the hydrocarbon level is below a hydrocarbon floor, and to low idle if the hydrocarbon level is between the hydrocarbon floor and the hydrocarbon ceiling.
Methods and systems for an aftertreatment system
Methods and systems are provided for adjusting engine operating parameters in response to an emission output from vehicles within a region. In one example, a method comprises adjusting engine operating parameters in a portion of the vehicles to decrease an emission output therefrom.
