Method for controlling an internal combustion engine
A fuel injection strategy and ignition timing for a spark-ignition direct fuel injection engine are selected in response to monitored engine load in relation to a plurality of load regions. This includes selecting a preferred ignition timing based upon the engine load, and selecting a first fuel injection event that is executed post-ignition, wherein the first fuel injection event delivers a set fuel mass at a preset timing relative to the preferred timing for the spark ignition event regardless of the engine load. A first pre-ignition fuel injection event is selected, and includes a second fuel mass being injected at a second fuel injection timing, wherein an end-of-injection timing of the first pre-ignition fuel injection event is at a preset timing relative to the preferred ignition timing regardless of the engine load, and wherein the second fuel mass is determined in relation to the engine load.
Method for determining the current trimming of the intake tract of an internal combustion engine during operation
In a method, dynamic pressure oscillations in the intake tract or outlet tract of a respective internal combustion engine are measured during normal operation, and from these measured oscillations, a corresponding pressure oscillation signal is generated. A crankshaft phase angle signal is determined at the same time. From the pressure oscillation signal, an actual value of at least one characteristic of at least one selected signal frequency of the measured pressure oscillations in relation to the crankshaft phase angle signal is determined, and the current trimming of the intake tract is determined on the basis of the determined actual value, taking into consideration reference values of the corresponding characteristic of the respectively identical signal frequency for different trimmings of the intake tract.
Vehicle control data generation method, vehicle controller, vehicle control system, and vehicle learning device
A vehicle control data generation method includes causing processing circuitry to execute an obtaining process that obtains a state of a vehicle and a specifying variable, an operating process that operates an electronic device, a reward calculating process that provides a greater reward when a characteristic of the vehicle meets a standard than when the characteristic does not meet the standard, and an updating process that updates relationship defining data. The update map outputs the updated relationship defining data. The reward calculating process includes a changing process that changes the reward, provided when the characteristic of the vehicle is a predetermined characteristic, such that the reward in a case where torque generated by an internal combustion engine is used to generate the propelling force of the vehicle differs from the reward in a case where the torque is not used to generate the propelling force.
Misfire detection device for internal combustion engine, misfire detection system for internal combustion engine, data analyzer, controller for internal combustion engine, method for detecting misfire of internal combustion engine, and reception execution device
A misfire detection device for an internal combustion engine includes a storage device and processing circuitry. The storage device stores mapping data. The mapping data is data specifying a mapping that outputs a misfire variable using a rotation waveform variable as an input. The misfire variable is a variable related to a probability that a misfire has occurred in the internal combustion engine. The rotation waveform variable is a variable based on an instantaneous speed variable corresponding to each of discontinuous rotational angle intervals selected from multiple continuous rotational angle intervals.
Control method, device and storage medium for engine operation
A control method, a control device, an electronic device and a storage medium for engine operation are provided. The method includes: obtaining a rotational speed and a temperature of an engine at a current time and determining a reference value of the control parameter of the engine based on the rotational speed and the temperature; detecting a composite operating state of the engine at the current time and determining an offset of the control parameter corresponding to each operating state in the composite operating state; adding the reference value of the control parameter and the offset of the control parameter corresponding to each operating state in the composite operating state to obtain a final value of the control parameter; and controlling the engine at the current time according to the final value of the control parameter.
