The fastening body is fastened to the internal combustion engine with the aid of the fastening element. In addition, the holding element is fastened to the fastening body via the decoupling elements. Moreover, a preloading element is provided that is joined to the fastening body, preloading of the decoupling elements being set by way of a predefined position of the preloading element relative to the fastening body in which the preloading element is joined to the fastening body.

Timing chain cover and mounting structure for timing chain cover

Provided is a timing chain cover that allows suppressing vibration transmission. A timing chain cover of the present disclosure houses a timing chain transmitting a rotative force of a crankshaft to a camshaft in one end side of an internal combustion engine. The timing chain cover includes a chain cover main body and a damping resin layer formed on an abutment surface of the chain cover main body. The abutment surface abuts on an internal combustion engine main body. The damping resin layer contains a heat resistant resin and a damping filler. The damping filler converts a vibration energy into a heat energy.

Chain cover

A chain cover is configured to cover a timing chain that transmits rotation of a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine to a camshaft. The chain cover includes a crankshaft-side opening forming portion that defines a crankshaft-side opening into which the crankshaft is inserted, and a general portion that is a section different from the crankshaft-side opening forming portion. The crankshaft-side opening forming portion is made of a first material. The general portion is made of a second material. The first material and the second material are different from each other.

Engine cover

The present invention provides an engine cover that can be manufactured easily and at a lower cost and has an attachment member that is high in quality and may not easily fall off. The engine cover has a cover body made of urethane foam, a skin layer disposed on a surface of the cover body, and an attachment member made of an elastic body and integrally molded with the cover body. The attachment member has a recess into which an attachment pin provided to project from an engine member is fitted, and a sealing portion that is provided to project at least one of the opening end surface of the recess and the side surface of the opening end part of the recess and that suppresses entry of a foamed urethane resin material that forms the cover body into the recess during integral molding.

Low-noise main bearing cap for internal combustion engine

A low-noise main bearing cap for an internal combustion engine is designed that includes a main bearing cap body, wherein the main bearing cap body is connected to an engine body main bearing seat. The main bearing cap body is provided with a vibration isolator A vibration isolation structure is provided between the main bearing cap body and the vibration isolator The main bearing cap body is connected with the vibration isolator through a connector The vibration isolation structure comprises an S-shaped structure and an oil film gap, and the vibration isolator is provided with an oil inlet passage which is communicated with the oil film gap. The present design solves the control problem of the main bearing vibration source caused by the main bearing load.
