Carburetor having integrated filter

A carburetor includes a body and a fuel bowl coupled to the body. A fuel bowl chamber is defined by the body and the fuel bowl. A fuel supply passageway fluidly couples a fuel supply inlet of the carburetor with the fuel bowl chamber. A fuel metering unit is coupled to the body of the carburetor. A first filter is disposed in one of the fuel supply passageway and the fuel bowl chamber, and a second filter is disposed in the fuel metering unit.

Fuel supply device

A fuel supply device has a housing and an intake channel section formed in the housing. At least one fuel port opens into the intake channel section. At least one fuel channel is provided and a valve with valve plate is arranged in the fuel channel. The valve has a closed position and an open position. The valve plate contacts a valve seat in the closed position. The valve plate carries out a valve stroke between open position and closed position. At least one annular gap is formed in the fuel channel. A gap width of the at least one annular gap is matched to a length of the valve stroke of the valve plate such that the gap width is not larger than twice a length of the valve stroke. A flow cross section of the annular gap is larger than a flow cross section of the valve.

A filter assembly for filtering hydraulic fluid in a hydraulically actuated fuel injector is disclosed. The filter assembly includes a plurality of first rollers and a plurality of second rollers. The first rollers are parallelly disposed one after the other, and define first axes disposed in a first plane. The second rollers are parallelly disposed one after the other, and define second axes disposed in a second plane. The first plane is parallel to the second plane. Further, each second roller is disposed between a consecutively arranged pair of first rollers to define one or more filtration zones for filtering the hydraulic fluid.

Saddled vehicle

A saddled vehicle includes a rear fender that is arranged along an outer circumferential side of a rear wheel, a chamber portion that is arranged on a front side of the rear wheel and is provided on the outer circumferential side of the rear wheel from a mudguard surface of the rear fender facing the rear wheel, and an atmospheric air introduction pipe that is connected to the chamber portion and introduces atmospheric air to a canister.

Debris diverter shield for fuel injector
09644589 · 2017-05-09 · ·

A tubular debris shield and diverter mounted in a high pressure flow passage within a fuel injector, provide the dual functions of passing the main flow of high pressure fuel with large debris particles to relatively large discharge openings, such as the injector spray holes, while allowing some high pressure fuel to flow through a multitude of very small transverse holes to a sensitive hydraulic component, such an injector control valve circuit. In one embodiment, the tube has a wall thickness in the range of about 0.1 to 0.5 mm at least about 2000 holes with a diameter in the range of about 20 to 30 microns.

Carburetors having filter arrangements

A carburetor has a carburetor body having a venturi passage that conveys air from an air inlet to an air outlet. A throttle valve controls flow of the air in the venturi passage. The throttle valve is movable into a closed position, an open position, and at least one transition position between the closed position and the open position. A fuel bowl holds fuel for mixing with the air in the venturi passage. A main nozzle discharges the fuel from the fuel bowl to the air in the venturi passage when the throttle is in the open position. A secondary circuit that is smaller than the main nozzle discharges fuel from the fuel bowl to the air in the venturi passage when the throttle is in the closed position, the transition position, and the open position. A filter is configured to remove particulate matter from the fuel in the fuel howl prior to discharge via the secondary circuit. Methods are for making the carburetor and operating the carburetor.
