The invention relates to an electromagnetically actuatable metering valve for liquids and/or gases, comprising: a valve housing (1); a valve seat element (2) which is connected to the valve housing (1) and in which at least one outlet opening (3) is formed; and a magnetic armature (4) which can move in a stroke-like manner relative to the valve seat element (2) and which is securely connected to a plate- or disc-shaped valve closing element (5) for opening and closing the at least one outlet opening (3) or which forms same; as well as a magnetic core (6) opposite the magnetic armature (4) at a working air gap (14) and at least one spring (7) pretensioning the magnetic armature (4) and the valve closing element (5) in the closing direction. According to the invention, the magnetic armature (4) and the valve closing element (5) are loaded in a targeted asymmetrical manner and/or are shaped in a targeted asymmetrical manner The invention also relates to a method for operating a metering valve for liquids and/or gases.
Fluid injector and needle for a fluid injector
Various embodiments include a fluid injector comprising: an injector housing defining a fluid path; a needle within the housing and movable to a closed position and an open position. The needle comprises two axial ends, an end face on the second, and an axial needle section surrounded by the housing. Between the axial section and the surrounding housing, there is a gap comprising at least part of the fluid path. The needle includes a hole extending from the end face and a connecting hole providing fluid connection between the hole and the gap. The valve also includes a plate defining a through-hole. A first valve seat is defined at a surface of the plate facing the end face and adjoining the through-hole and when the needle is in the closed position the through-hole is closed by the end face.
Asynchronous rotary fuel valve
A housing defines a gaseous fuel inlet and a gaseous fuel outlet. A rotor defines an internal flow passage therethrough that rotates with the rotor to, alternately, allow gaseous fuel flow, or to block gaseous fuel flow, between the inlet and the outlet, based on a position of the rotor. A seal is biased to abut an exterior surface of the rotor. The seal is between the rotor and the outlet. An actuator is rotably coupled to the rotor. The driver is configured to rotate the rotor. A controller is in communication with the driver and is configured to control the driver to rotate at a rate based on an engine speed of the engine.
Method for producing a metering valve, and metering valve
The invention relates to a method for producing a metering valve (1) for a fluid, in particular for a liquid and/or gaseous fuel, comprising a preferably plate-shaped valve seat element (2) having at least one throughflow opening (3) for the liquid and/or gaseous fuel, a lift-movable valve disk (4) that sealingly interacts with the valve seat element (2) for releasing and closing the at least one throughflow opening (3), and a stroke stop element (5) having an annular stroke stop surface (6) for limiting the stroke of the valve disk (4). According to the invention, the stroke stop element (5) is axially pretensioned in the direction of a stroke adjustment ring (7) surrounding the valve disk (4). In order to finely adjust the stroke of the valve disk (4), the axial pretensioning force is altered, whereby the stroke stop element (5) is deformed. The invention further relates to a metering valve (1) for a fluid.
Metering valve for a gaseous medium
The invention relates to a metering valve (1) for a gaseous medium, in particular for a gaseous fuel, comprising a preferably planar valve seat element (2) having at least one flow-through opening (3) for the gaseous medium, a closing element (4) movable in a stroke-like manner and interacting in a sealing manner with the valve seat element (2) in order to release and close the at least one flow-through opening (3), and a corrugated or folding bellows (5) connected to the closing element (4) for delimiting a compensation space (6), which is connected to a pressure space (8) via a recess (7) formed in the closing element (4) so that the same gas pressure prevails in both spaces (6, 8) irrespective of the switched position of the metering valve (1). According to the invention, the compensation space (6) is arranged on the side of the closing element (4) facing the valve seat element (2) and is delimited in the axial direction by a pressure surface (10) which is formed on the closing element (4) or on a component (11) connected to the closing element (4), in particular a flange component.
