FUEL INJECTION VALVE FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINES
20230045640 · 2023-02-09 · ·

The fuel injection valve has a hydraulic control device for controlling the axial movement of the injection valve member. The stem of the intermediate valve member of mushroom-shaped configuration of the intermediate valve is guided in the guide recess of the intermediate part. In the open position, the intermediate valve member opens up a second connection between a high-pressure fuel inlet and a valve chamber and, in the closed position, the intermediate valve member shuts off the second connection between the high-pressure fuel inlet and the valve chamber. In the closed position of the intermediate valve member, the head of the intermediate valve member lies with a side facing toward the intermediate part against the intermediate valve seat via a first sealing surface, which runs around the stem or the guide recess at a first radial spacing so as to form a first annular sealing surface which is continuous in the circumferential direction.

A fuel injector includes a fuel valve with a valve seat and a movable valve needle, a calibration spring and an electromagnetic actuator with a solenoid and a movable armature. The calibration spring exerts a pressing force on the valve needle for pressing the valve needle in a closing direction towards the valve seat. When the solenoid is electrically energized, the electromagnetic actuator is operable to transfer a lifting force to the valve needle by engagement with the armature for lifting the valve needle from the valve seat to a fully open position against the pressing force of the calibration spring. The calibration spring and the electromagnetic actuator are configured such that the lifting force equals the pressing force in the fully open position.

METHOD OF REMOVING PARTICLES IN AN INJECTOR OF A DIESEL ENGINE, APPARATUS FOR PERFORMING THE SAME AND DIESEL ENGINE INCLUDING THE APPARATUS

In a method of removing particles in an injector of a diesel engine, a stop of the diesel engine may be recognized. An injection signal may be inputted into the injector of the stopped diesel engine. A control valve of the injector may be moved in a low-pressure passage by the injection signal to remove the particles accumulated on an inner wall of the low-pressure passage. Thus, a malfunction of the control valve caused by the particles may be previously prevented.

Injector arrangement for diesel engines using slurry or emulsion fuels

The present invention relates to a fuel injection arrangement for a diesel type engine configured to use carbonaceous aqueous slurry fuels. The fuel injection arrangement includes an injector nozzle for injecting fuel into a combustion chamber; a pump chamber housing a fuel pumping element for generating a pressurised fuel flow to the injector nozzle along an injection path between the pumping element and the injector nozzle; and a check valve connected to a fuel supply for regulating and supplying fuel to the injection path via a check valve outlet. A region immediately downstream of the check valve outlet defines an outlet region and the check valve is arranged to expose the outlet region to the pressurised fuel flow to facilitate flushing of the outlet region during fuel flow between the pumping element and the injector nozzle.

FUEL INJECTION DEVICE

Provided is a fuel injection device that sets an electromagnetic attraction force, which is generated in a magnetic gap between a magnetic core and a movable element, to more than or equal to a desired value. The fuel injection device includes a movable element that is attracted to the magnetic core and a housing provided opposite to the movable element in a direction orthogonal to an axial direction, wherein the movable element is configured so that an axial length of the movable element is 1.25 to 1.46 times as long as an axial length of the housing.
