Engine
An engine includes a combustion chamber, a cylinder head, an intake valve, a partition wall plate, and a tumble valve. The cylinder head includes an intake port that communicates with the combustion chamber. The intake valve includes a head configured to open and close an open end of the intake port. The partition wall plate partitions the intake port into first and second passages. The tumble valve is configured to open and close either one of the first passage and the second passage. A cross sectional shape of the partition wall plate is defined on a basis of a shape of a gap that is surrounded by a contour of the head and a contour of the open end, as viewed in a reference direction. The reference direction is a direction from a reference point in the intake port to a gap between the open end and the head.
AIR INTAKE DEVICE
An air intake device includes: an air intake valve provided so as to change intake air by rotation of a rotation shaft; an actuator which is a driving source for rotating and driving the rotation shaft of the air intake valve; a first link member rotatable by a predetermined operation angle about the rotation shaft; a second link member rotatably connected to the first link member; a connection member which connects the first link member and the second link member so as to be rotatable to each other; and a biasing member whose one side end is engaged to the first link member and whose other side end is engaged to the second link member or the connection member to bias the first link member and the second link member or the connection member so that rattling between the first link member and the second link member is suppressed.
Injection device, an internal combustion engine, and a method for operating an injection device for gasoline and CNG
An injection device for an internal combustion engine having a first injection system for injecting fuel having a first fuel composition, and a second injection system for the injection of fuel having a second fuel composition that has a lower ethanol component than the first fuel composition, the first injection system having at least one first fuel injector for injecting fuel having the first fuel composition both in the direction of a first intake orifice of a combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine, and in the direction of a second intake orifice of the combustion chamber, in which the second injection system has a second fuel injector for injecting fuel having the second fuel composition essentially only in the direction of the first intake orifice, and a separate third fuel injector for injecting fuel having the second fuel composition essentially only in the direction of the second intake orifice.
Gas intake device comprising an oriented masking element
The present invention relates to a gas inlet device (1) for a cylinder of an internal combustion engine. The gas inlet device (1) comprises an inlet port (5), an inlet valve (4), a calibration (6) of the inlet valve (4), means for forming a tumble-type aerodynamic movement of the gas in the cylinder, and a mask (10). Furthermore, the intersection (7) between the inlet port (5) and the calibration (6) is along a straight line not parallel to the plane of the firing face (FF). In addition, the mask (10) is oriented in the same way as the end of the inlet port (5).
Intake air control apparatus of engine
An intake air control apparatus of an engine includes an Intake manifold configured to guide intake air into a plurality of engine cylinders. A plurality of first intake air passages communicate with the cylinders. A plurality of second intake air passages are disposed in parallel with the first intake air passages and communicate with the cylinders. An Intake throttle shaft passes through the first intake air passages. An intake air throttle valve is disposed inside the first intake air passages, rotates with the Intake throttle shaft, and opens/closes the first intake air passage. A swirl throttle shaft passes though the second intake air passages. A swirl throttle valve is disposed inside the second intake air passages, rotates together with the swirl throttle shaft, and opens/closes the second intake air passages. An actuator rotates selectively the Intake throttle shaft and the swirl throttle shaft. A controller controls the actuator.
AIR INTAKE APPARATUS
This air intake apparatus is mounted on an in-line multi-cylinder engine, and includes a surge tank that includes a throttle body mounting portion at a central portion thereof, one air intake pipe, which is single, and the other air intake pipe, which is single, connected to one end and the other end of the surge tank in a left-right direction, respectively, a first air intake pipe group that is connected to the one air intake pipe and includes a plurality of branched air intake pipes, and a second air intake pipe group that is connected to the other air intake pipe and includes the same number of branched air intake pipes as the plurality of branched air intake pipes.
Engine intake port structure
One exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure relates to an engine intake port structure. According to the engine intake port structure of the exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, a chamfer is formed to be offset to either side from an end corner of an intake port. Accordingly, the inflow of a fuel gas is concentrated on a side in which an opening width of the chamfer is wide at the beginning of an opening stage when the intake port is opened/closed by a valve unit, and after the intake port is opened, the opening width is formed to be similar at four sides of the valve unit such that swirls formed in the fuel gas is weakened. That is, complete combustion of the fuel can be anticipated since the length of time during which the fuel gas remains in a combustion chamber is extended.
