System and method of managing the temperature of fuel injected into internal combustion engines
A system and a method of controlling the temperature of fuel injected into combustion engines, which provides a reduced amount of fuel injected into engines propelled with either pure gasoline or ethanol or any bi-fuel mixture by precisely controlling the amount of heat supplied to the fuel.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR HEATING A FUEL
A fuel heating apparatus and method are disclosed where a conductive coil is wrapped around an outer surface of at least a portion of a nozzle of a fuel injector. The coil and the nozzle are inductively cooperative with each other such that the coil, in response to a variable current through the coil, induces a heating of the nozzle. The inductively heated nozzle can heat fuel passing into an engine so as to cause the fuel to combust as it exits the heated nozzle. This arrangement allows for sparkles combustion of fuel in an internal combustion engine.

PUMP FOR FLUID SYSTEM AND METHOD OF OPERATING SAME
A fluid system such as a fuel system includes a fluid supply and a pump coupled between the fluid supply and a plurality of fluid delivery devices. The pump can be a cryogenic pump such as for liquefied natural gas, with valve mechanisms to control hydraulic actuation of a piston used to pump the liquefied natural gas. An electrically conductive coil is coupled with the piston. Related methodology is disclosed.
Fuel injection system
A fuel injection system in the present invention is provided with a fuel injection valve (10) which incorporates a heater (20) for heating fuel before being injected. The temperature of the heater (20) is estimated on the basis of the resistance value R.sub.Htr of the heater (20). The temperature of the heater (20) estimated at or after the time of occurrence of a point of inflection in the resistance value R.sub.Htr of the heater (20) is corrected in order to reduce to zero the difference between the nucleate boiling start point temperature and the estimated temperature value of the heater (20) at the time of occurrence of the point of inflection.

Fuel injection pump
Provided is a configuration which prevents an engine from being unable to start in the state in which dew condensation occurred in a fuel injection pump and froze. The present invention relates to a fuel injection pump which is provided with a pump body and a hydraulic head and driven by an engine, and is characterized in that while the engine is in operation, the temperature of the hydraulic head is increased to a dew-point temperature or higher. Consequently, it is possible to increase the temperature of the hydraulic head and remove water in the fuel injection pump while the engine is in operation. Accordingly, the engine can be prevented from being unable to start in the state that dew condensation occurred in the fuel injection pump and froze.
