ELECTROMAGNETIC VALVE MECHANISM AND HIGH-PRESSURE FUEL SUPPLY PUMP

An object of the present invention is to secure a gap between a component on a suction valve side and a component on an anchor side when a valve is closed, regardless of an integration tolerance of a plurality of components, and to be able to reliably close the valve. In an electromagnetic valve mechanism 300 including an anchor assembly 36 and a magnetic core 33 between which a magnetic attraction force acts, and a suction valve 30 configured to be able to come into and out of contact with the anchor assembly 36, the anchor assembly 36 includes a first anchor assembly component 36a having a facing surface 36ab that faces the magnetic core 33, a second anchor assembly component 36b configured integrally with the first anchor assembly component 36a, and a press-fitting portion 36c that fixes the first anchor assembly component 36a and the second anchor assembly component 36b. A press-fitting length L1 of the press-fitting portion 36c is set to a length at which the second anchor assembly component 36b and the suction valve 30 are separated from each other in a state where the suction valve 30 is closed.

High-pressure fuel supply pump provided with electromagnetic intake valve

An object of the present invention is to prevent generation of wear at a rod collision portion in an electromagnetic intake valve of a high-pressure fuel supply pump by reducing inclinations of the intake valve and a rod. A structure of the electromagnetic intake valve of the high-pressure fuel supply pump is configured as follows. A seat portion of an intake valve and a guide portion of a rod are configured as an integral part, and further, a rod guide is made to have a sufficiently long length so that it is possible to perform guide at one portion. Further, the intake valve seat portion and a surface where the rod collides with the intake valve are formed on the same plane.

A metering valve supplies fuel to and block fuel from a pressurizing chamber by moving a valve body by switching between energization and de-energization of an electromagnetic unit. An energization control unit performs a valve closing control and a valve opening control to reduce operating sound in one opening and closing period in which the valve body opens and closes. A time control unit controls, on determination that the energizing period of the electromagnetic unit exceeds the upper limit value, a moving speed of the valve body when the valve body moves to a valve closing side, such that the energization period of the electromagnetic unit in the one opening and closing period does not exceed the upper limit value, thereby to cause the energization control unit to perform both the valve closing control and the valve opening control in the one opening and closing period.

A fuel pump includes a pump housing with a pumping chamber an inlet valve bore. An inlet valve selectively provides and prevents fluid communication between an inlet of the fuel pump and the pumping chamber. The inlet valve includes an inner housing received within the inlet valve bore such that an outer periphery of the inner housing is sealed to an inner periphery of the inlet valve bore. An outer housing circumferentially surrounds the inner housing. An annular chamber is defined radially between the inner housing and the outer housing and axially between the outer housing and the pump housing. A sealing ring is located within the annular chamber such that the sealing ring is compressed axially against the pump housing and the outer housing.

A fuel pump includes a fuel pump housing with a pumping chamber and an inlet valve bore which extends along an inlet valve bore axis. The inlet valve bore is stepped such that the inlet valve bore includes a shoulder which is traverse to the inlet valve bore axis. A pumping plunger reciprocates within a plunger bore along a plunger bore axis such that an intake stroke of the pumping plunger increases volume of the pumping chamber and a compression stroke of the pumping plunger decreases volume of the pumping chamber. An inlet valve assembly includes a valve seat with a valve seat flow passage extending therethrough, the valve seat abuts the shoulder and is urged toward the shoulder by pressure within the pumping chamber during the compression stroke. The inlet valve assembly also includes a valve member which is moveable between an unseated position and a seated position.

A fuel injection system includes a first high pressure fuel source, a return channel connected to a second low pressure fuel source, a residual pressure regulator having an inlet and an outlet connected to the return channel, and a fuel injector having a control valve arrangement comprising an inlet, an outlet and a return port, a fuel injection nozzle having an outlet chamber, an injection outlet, and a needle member in the outlet chamber. The needle member is biased to a closed position to block fluid communication between the outlet chamber and the injection outlet, and to open fluid communication by a pressure in the outlet chamber. The residual pressure regulator is connected to a spill valve to regulate pressure to a residual pressure higher than the pressure in the return channel and lower than the pressure of the first fuel source.
