A first tubular portion forms a part of a fuel flow passage therein. A first joint surface is formed in one end surface of the first tubular portion. A first inner diameter enlarged portion is formed on a side opposite to the first joint surface. A second tubular portion forms a part of the fuel flow passage therein. A second joint surface is formed in one end surface of the second tubular portion and joined to the first joint surface. A second inner diameter enlarged portion is formed on a side opposite to the second joint surface. A welded portion is formed in an annular shape to extend radially inward from the radially outside of the first joint surface and the second joint surface by welding the first tubular portion and the second tubular portion.

FUEL INJECTOR

An electromagnetic fuel injection valve includes a coupling between an armature and the valve member that allows limited relative movement of the valve member and armature in both the opening and closing directions of the valve member. An injector body includes a non-magnetic section to focus magnetic flux and attractive force through the armature and pole. A modular power group reduces the cost of assembly and includes a plastic encapsulated coil that is protected from environmental moisture and corrosion. A valve seat incorporates a valve seal which improves fuel flow past the valve member when the fuel injection valve is in the open position.

FUEL SUPPLY SYSTEM OF AN ENGINE DESIGNED AS GAS ENGINE OR DUAL-FUEL ENGINE AND ENGINE

A fuel supply system of an engine designed as a gas engine or dual-fuel engine, has at least one solenoid valve. The solenoid valve is designed for introducing gas fuel into charge air or into a charge air line leading to at least one cylinder of the engine. The respective solenoid valve includes a valve body and an actuator with at least one magnetic plate and with at least one coil for actuating the valve body. The at least one solenoid valve of the solenoid valve is formed out of a corrosion-resistant material or is coated with a corrosion-resistant material.

COMPONENTS FORMED WITH HIGH STRENGTH STEEL

An example component of a machine includes a core layer and an outer layer encasing the core layer. The outer layer has a greater carbon concentration and hardness than the core layer. The outer layer may also be compressively stressed, while the core layer may have tensile stress. The stress and/or hardness profile of the component may enhance its resistance to cracking, particularly in applications where the component is impacted by other object and/or operates at elevated temperatures. The component, such as parts of a fuel injector, may be formed by rough forming the component, carburizing the component, quenching the component, subzero processing the component, and then performing a tempering process. The components may have relatively sharp transition from the high carbon outer layer to the lower carbon core layer. Additionally, the components have a relatively high tempering resistance when used in relatively high temperature environments.

Component for fuel injector and method for coating the same

Disclosed are a component for a fuel injector and a method for coating the same. The component for the fuel injector may include a base material, a bonding layer laminated on the base material, a support layer laminated on the outer surface of the bonding layer, and an NbSiCN functional layer including an NbCN layer and an SiCN layer and alternately laminated on the outer surface of the support layer, thereby reducing friction, high hardness, shock resistance, heat resistance, and durability of the component for the fuel injector.

NEEDLE STROKE SWITCH AND FUEL INJECTOR HAVING SUCH A NEEDLE STROKE SWITCH

A needle stroke switch and a fuel injector having such a switch, the needle stroke switch including a seat plate having a plate-like main body and a passage connecting the two planar sides of the plate-like main body, an anchor element which can be lifted off from the passage in the seat plate, and a control valve which is arranged on the side of the seat plate opposite the anchor element and is designed to interact with a nozzle needle. The seat plate is electrically isolated from a surrounding injector housing and an electrical connection to the injector housing is possible only via the nozzle needle which interacts with the seat plate. Furthermore, the needle stroke switch is characterised in that at least one ceramic and/or plastic part is provided which contacts the seat plate in order to isolate the seat plate from the surrounding injector housing.
