TAPPET ROLLER ASSEMBLY
A tappet roller assembly in which a roller shoe has a roller bore shaped to receive and retain a roller. The roller is sized and configured to rotate within the roller bore. The roller shoe may have a lubricating passage extending from a peripheral surface of the roller shoe to the roller bore to lubricate the roller.
Gas Admission Valve Including Seal Redundancy, and Method of Sealing a Gas Admission Valve
Gas admission valve assembly includes a housing, an elongated valve guide disposed within a central bore of the housing, a valve including a valve stem slidably disposed within the valve guide and a valve head selectively engagable with a valve seat of the housing to control flow between gas entry and exit openings into a housing entry chamber. First and second stem seals are disposed at opposite ends of the valve guide in sealing engagement with the valve stem between the valve stem and the central bore of the housing distally and the valve guide proximally.
System and method for oil supply to pump
Systems and methods for supplying lubricating oil to a high-pressure fuel pump of an engine fuel system. In one embodiment, a system may include a plurality of channels routing lubricating oil to a gear system and drive shaft of a pump without flowing an entire volume of the lubricating oil through a cavity of the drive shaft.
High pressure fuel pump and fuel supply system
A high pressure fuel pump includes: a pump body that forms a suction passage and a pressurizing chamber and slidably supports a plunger; and a control valve that opens a connection between the suction passage and the pressurizing chamber in a suction stroke, during which the plunger is driven toward a suction side for suctioning fuel into the pressurizing chamber, while the control valve controls closing timing, at which the connection between the suction passage and the pressurizing chamber is closed by the control valve in a delivery stroke, during which the plunger is driven toward a delivery side for delivering the fuel out of the pressurizing chamber. The pump body forms a release passage that is communicated with the suction passage. The release passage relieves the fuel, which is pressurized by the plunger, from the pressurizing chamber before the closing timing during the delivery stroke.
Lubricating device for internal combustion engine
A supply pump includes a housing that has a tappet receiving chamber, which receives a plunger drive mechanism, and oil for lubricating respective lubricating portions of the plunger drive mechanism is temporarily retained in the tappet receiving chamber. In the housing, a communication hole opens in an inner peripheral wall surface of a tappet guide and guides the oil from a tappet upper side chamber into a tappet lower side chamber at the time of upwardly moving a tappet.
Fuel injection pump
Provided is a configuration which prevents an engine from being unable to start in the state in which dew condensation occurred in a fuel injection pump and froze. The present invention relates to a fuel injection pump which is provided with a pump body and a hydraulic head and driven by an engine, and is characterized in that while the engine is in operation, the temperature of the hydraulic head is increased to a dew-point temperature or higher. Consequently, it is possible to increase the temperature of the hydraulic head and remove water in the fuel injection pump while the engine is in operation. Accordingly, the engine can be prevented from being unable to start in the state that dew condensation occurred in the fuel injection pump and froze.

Roller tappet for a piston pump, piston pump
The invention relates to a roller tappet (1) for a piston pump, in particular for a high-pressure fuel pump, for supporting a pump piston (2) which can move in a reciprocating motion on a cam (3) or eccentric of a drive shaft (4), comprising a tappet body (5) with an end-side recess (6) and two radial bores (7) which lie diametrically opposite one another at the recess (6) and receive a pin (8), on which a roller (10) is rotatably mounted directly or indirectly via a bearing bush (9), wherein at least one radially or obliquely running feed bore (12) is configured in the tappet body (5) in order to supply a lubricating medium to a radial bearing gap (11) which is configured between the roller (10) and the pin (8) or between the roller (10) and the bearing bush (9), which feed bore (12) opens into the recess (6) in the region of an axial bearing gap (13) between the roller (10) and the tappet body (5). According to the invention, the feed bore (12) is connected to an arcuately running lubricating duct (14) which is configured in a surface (15) of the tappet body (5), which surface (15) delimits the axial bearing gap (13). Furthermore, the invention relates to a piston pump comprising a roller tappet (1) of said type.
