CHARACTERISTIC DETERMINING APPARATUS AND CONTROL DEVICE USING SAME
A characteristic determining device is provided which determines fuel injection characteristics of a plurality of fuel injectors for an internal combustion engine. The characteristic determining device includes a pressure sensor and a plurality of pipes each of which connects between the pressure sensor and one of the fuel injectors. The pressure sensor is designed to have a plurality of pressure inputs from the respective fuel injectors through the pipes and outputs a signal indicative of a level of pressure in each of the fuel injectors. The characteristic determining device analyzes the signals from the first pressure sensor to determine the fuel injection characteristics of the respective fuel injectors. These arrangements result in a simplified structure of the characteristic determining device and a decreased manufacturing cost thereof.
High-Pressure Fuel Supply Device for Internal Combustion Engine
Provided is a high-pressure fuel supply device for an internal combustion engine, said device being capable of suppressing noise from collisions of a plunger rod and an air intake valve. A high-pressure fuel pump 108 comprises an intake valve, a plunger rod that is formed as a separate element from the intake valve, an elastic member that biases the plunger rod in the valve-opening direction of the intake valve, and a solenoid that draws the plunger rod in the valve-closing direction of the intake valve when supplied with electricity. A control device 101 has a first control unit that applies a first current to the solenoid in order to close the intake valve, and a second control unit that applies a second current to the solenoid before the plunger rod collides with the intake valve due to the biasing force of the elastic member.
GAS INJECTOR INCLUDING LIFT DETHROTTLING
A gas injector for injecting a gaseous fuel, in particular directly into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine, including: a valve closing element for opening or closing a pass-through opening, a valve body, and a sealing seat between the valve body and the valve closing element, in the case of a maximum lift of the valve closing element a flow cross section between the valve body and the valve closing element being smaller in the flow direction upstream from the sealing seat than a flow cross section between the valve closing element and the sealing seat and being smaller than a flow cross section in the flow direction downstream from the sealing seat.
Control valve, in particular for metering in a fluid for a delivery pump which is arranged downstream
A control valve is provided, in particular for metering in a fluid for a delivery pump which is arranged downstream. The control valve has a flow channel, an axially movable valve needle, and a valve element which can be loaded by the valve needle in an opening direction and is arranged in the flow channel. If the valve element is actuated in the opening direction by the valve needle, the fluid can flow back through the flow channel at least temporarily counter to the opening direction of the valve element. Upstream of the valve element as viewed in the backflow direction, the flow channel has a fluidically active shield which keeps the backflow at least partially free of a face of the valve element.
ELECTROMAGNETICALLY ACTUATABLE METERING VALVE, METHOD FOR OPERATING AN ELECTROMAGNETICALLY ACTUATABLE METERING VALVE
The invention relates to an electromagnetically actuatable metering valve for liquids and/or gases, comprising: a valve housing (1); a valve seat element (2) which is connected to the valve housing (1) and in which at least one outlet opening (3) is formed; and a magnetic armature (4) which can move in a stroke-like manner relative to the valve seat element (2) and which is securely connected to a plate- or disc-shaped valve closing element (5) for opening and closing the at least one outlet opening (3) or which forms same; as well as a magnetic core (6) opposite the magnetic armature (4) at a working air gap (14) and at least one spring (7) pretensioning the magnetic armature (4) and the valve closing element (5) in the closing direction. According to the invention, the magnetic armature (4) and the valve closing element (5) are loaded in a targeted asymmetrical manner and/or are shaped in a targeted asymmetrical manner The invention also relates to a method for operating a metering valve for liquids and/or gases.
Fuel system having a connection between a fuel injector and a fuel distribution conduit
A fuel supply system includes a fuel injector having an inlet conduit, a nozzle opening, and a valve needle which is moveable to selectively permit and prevent flow of fuel. The inlet conduit extends along an axis and includes an inlet conduit shoulder which is traverse to the axis. A fuel distribution conduit, which supplies fuel to the fuel injector, has external threads. A connection nut has internal threads which threadably engage the external threads of the fuel distribution conduit and also has an internal shoulder which is traverse to the axis. A first ring sector and a second ring sector each engage both the inlet conduit shoulder and the internal shoulder such that tightening of the connection nut causes the first ring sector and the second ring sector to be compressed between the inlet conduit shoulder and the internal shoulder.
Engines and pumps with motionless one-way valve
Embodiments of apparatus for controlling the movement of matter, including but not limited to one-way fluid valves, are disclosed. The apparatus may include a transition nozzle, a funnel nozzle, and a reverse flow blocker arranged in series in a case. A counter-flow area may be disposed about the funnel nozzle. The apparatus may permit matter to flow in a first direction, and discourage or prevent flow in a direction reverse to the first direction. Control over the flow of matter also may enable matter to be harvested, sorted, separated or combined with injected matter.
Fuel injection valve
Provided is a fuel injection valve which can be easily processed and can realize sufficient atomization while suppressing spreading of spray. In the fuel injection valve according to the present invention, when a nozzle plate 6 and a first direction 15a-1 in which fuel is sprayed are projected onto a virtual plane perpendicular to a central axis line of the fuel injection valve along an opening and closing valve direction of a valve body and a first orthogonal coordinate system having an X1 passing through a center O1 of the nozzle plate 6 and along the first direction 15a-1 and a Y1 axis passing through the center O1 of the nozzle plate 6 and perpendicular to the X1 axis is virtualized on the virtual plane, an introduction passage 11a-1 is inclined so that a straight line segment 14a-1 connecting between a central point 40a-1 of an upstream side end portion and a center Oa-1 of an inlet opening surface of a fuel injection hole 13a-1 is positioned on the Y1 axis side with respect to a straight line 30a-1 passing through the central point 40a-1 and the center O1 of the nozzle plate 6.

In the installed state a support part is disposed on the connector piece, and the connector piece is mounted via the support part on the connector body. The support part has a spherical support surface with which the support part braces at least indirectly against the connector body in order to implement the mounting of the connector piece directly or indirectly on the connector body.
