SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR REMOVING COKING DEPOSITS IN A FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM
Methods and systems are provided for reducing coking deposits in a fuel injection system. In one example, a method may comprise humidifying intake air of an intake system of an engine in response to a determination that fuel injector coking is occurring, or after a duration has passed since a most recent humidification event. A humidifying fluid, such as water, may be injected into the intake system to humidify the intake air, and the resulting humidified intake air may reduce and/or remove coking deposits on one or more direct fuel injectors of the fuel injection system.
CARBON REMOVING AND CLEANING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR ENGINE FUEL NOZZLE AND COMBUSTION CHAMBER OF AUTOMOBILE
The present invention discloses a carbon removing and cleaning device and method for an engine fuel nozzle and a combustion chamber of an automobile. The carbon removing and cleaning device comprises a fuel supply pipeline provided with a quick joint and a fuel line connection arranged in the front of the engine fuel nozzle; and a tee joint is connected between the quick joint and the fuel line connection, the quick joint is connected with a first inlet of the tee joint, an outlet of the tee joint is connected with the fuel line connection, a second inlet of the tee joint is connected with a pressurized cleaning agent tank, an electric control cleaning agent nozzle is arranged between the second inlet and a connecting port of the cleaning agent tank, and the pressure of a cleaning agent in the cleaning agent tank is larger than the fuel supply pressure of a fuel supply pipeline. The carbon removing and cleaning device is simple in structure, the cleaning agent can be directly mixed into fuel through a tee additionally arranged in a fuel delivery pipeline, and dynamic mixing ratio control can be performed by virtue of the electric control cleaning agent nozzle, so that a satisfied cleaning effect for the fuel nozzle and the top of a piston is achieved under the conditions that the stable idling operation of the engine is maintained, a proper amount of cleaning agent is input and the cleaning time is reasonable.
New Additive Packages for Gasoline Fuels
Novel compounds can be used as additive packages for improving the cleanliness of direct injection spark ignition (DISI) engines.
Unclogging of ducts for fuel injection
A controller may obtain data indicative of heat release in a cylinder of an engine. The controller may determine that the data indicative of the heat release in the cylinder is indicative of clogging of one or more ducts of a duct structure of the engine. The controller may perform an operation to reduce the clogging of the one or more ducts based on the data indicative of the heat release in the cylinder being indicative of the clogging of the one or more ducts. The operation may include at least one of causing a pressure of fuel that is supplied to a fuel injector to increase or causing a peak temperature in the cylinder to increase.
CLEANING DEVICE WITH CLEANING MEDIUM RECEPTION CHAMBER FOR RECEIVING CLEANING MEDIUM AFTER PASSING A DEVICE TO BE CLEANED
A cleaning device (100) for cleaning an interior of a device to be cleaned (102), wherein the cleaning device (100) comprises an adapter (104) for mounting the device to be cleaned (102), a cleaning medium reception chamber (106) for receiving cleaning medium driven through the device to be cleaned (102) when mounted on the adapter (104), and a drive unit (108) for driving cleaning medium from a cleaning medium reservoir (110) through the device to be cleaned (102), when mounted on the adapter (104), and into the cleaning medium reception chamber (106).
System and method for fuel nozzle cleaning during engine operation
A method and system for cleaning a fuel nozzle during engine operation is provided. Operations include operating the compressor section to provide the flow of oxidizer at a first oxidizer flow condition to the combustion chamber, wherein the first oxidizer flow condition comprises an environmental parameter; operating the fuel system at a first fuel flow condition to produce a fuel-oxidizer ratio at the combustion chamber; comparing the environmental parameter to a first environmental parameter threshold; and transitioning the fuel system to a second fuel flow condition corresponding to a cleaning condition at the fuel nozzle if the environmental parameter is equal to or greater than the first environmental threshold.
HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE
A hybrid electric vehicle includes an engine having an in-cylinder injection valve, a fuel supply device that supplies fuel to the in-cylinder injection valve, a motor that can generate an electric power through the use of a motive power output from the engine and can output a running motive power, and an electrical storage device that exchanges electric power with the motor. A deposit removal process where deposits adherent to the in-cylinder injection valve are removed by setting a pressure of fuel supplied to the in-cylinder injection valve to a predetermined pressure higher than a normal pressure and injecting fuel from the in-cylinder injection valve is performed during the performance of a forcible charging process for the electrical storage device, and the forcible charging process is continued until the pressure of fuel is returned to the normal pressure after the end of the deposit removal process.

Method of removing particles in an injector of a diesel engine, apparatus for performing the same and diesel engine including the apparatus
In a method of removing particles in an injector of a diesel engine, a stop of the diesel engine may be recognized. An injection signal may be inputted into the injector of the stopped diesel engine. A control valve of the injector may be moved in a low-pressure passage by the injection signal to remove the particles accumulated on an inner wall of the low-pressure passage. Thus, a malfunction of the control valve caused by the particles may be previously prevented.
