AIRCRAFT AND METHOD OF OPERATING AN AIRCRAFT COMPRISING AN AIR SEPARATION DEVICE
An aircraft including a combustion engine with a combustion chamber an injection device for injecting fuel in the combustion chamber and an air separation device adapted to separate air into an oxygen-enriched gas mix and an nitrogen-enriched gas mix, wherein the oxygen-enriched gas mix is injected into the combustion chamber with the fuel while the nitrogen-enriched gas mix is used to inert at least some portions of the aircraft in the environment of said combustion engine.

Fuel injector having three stages
An engine, fuel injector, and method are disclosed. The method may include aligning an exhaust gas passage with an exhaust gas source to allow exhaust gas to enter a pre-chamber for a first duration; aligning a fuel passage with a fuel source to allow fuel to enter the pre-chamber for a second duration; and aligning injector nozzle connectors with injector nozzles, for a third duration, to allow a mixture of the fuel and the exhaust gas to be injected from the pre-chamber to the combustion chamber.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR A FUEL INJECTOR
Methods and systems are provided for a fuel injector coupled to mixing passages for entraining combustion chamber gases with a fuel injection to decrease formation of soot throughout a range of engine operating parameters. In one example, a method includes decreasing a combustion chamber temperature in response to an amount of sensed light.
