ENGINE GENERATOR
An engine generator coupled to an external battery. The engine generator includes: an engine; a motor generator configured to apply a starting force to the engine at a start of the engine, and to perform power generation by a driving force of the engine during driving of the engine;
a first step-down section and an engine accessory, the first step-down section being configured to step down a voltage of the external battery to obtain a first stepped-down voltage, and supply the first stepped-down voltage to the engine accessory; and a power converter that converts power of the external battery and supplies the converted power to the motor generator.
Vehicle control apparatus
A vehicle control apparatus includes a controller that switches a vehicle between an HEV traveling mode and an EV traveling mode. When the output current of a DC-to-DC converter becomes equal to or higher than a threshold, the controller decreases the output current by decreasing the output voltage of the DC-to-DC converter through output regulation control. The controller makes switching between a normal setting in which the threshold for the output regulation control is set to a reference threshold and a boost setting in which the threshold is set to a boost threshold higher than the reference threshold. The controller prohibits the boost setting when a power margin for boosting becomes equal to or lower than a first power margin value in the HEV traveling mode and when the power margin for the boosting becomes equal to or lower than a second power margin value in the EV traveling mode.
VEHICLE
A vehicle includes a first power system, a second power system, a switching relay, and a relay controller. The first power system is coupled to an engine restart motor. The second power system is provided independently of the first power system and is coupled to a starter and an accessory. The coupling state of the switching relay is switchable to an on state in which the first power system and the second power system are coupled, and to an off state in which the first power system and the second power system are not coupled. The relay controller is configured to receive a supply of electric power from both the first power system and the second power system and to control the coupling state of the switching relay.
Vehicle power supply system and method for operating the same
A vehicle power supply system and a method for operating the same are provided. The vehicle power supply system includes a main battery and a sub-battery to supply power to an electronic load inside a vehicle, and a controller to control supplying of the power to the electronic load using at least one of the main battery or the sub-battery, by monitoring the main battery and the sub-battery. The controller determines whether the main battery allows entrance into Idle Stop and Go, determines whether the sub-battery is able to assist the ISG, and controls the sub-battery to assist the main battery to supply the power to the electronic load, when the main battery allows the entrance into the ISG, when the sub-battery is able to assist the ISG, and when entering into the ISG.
Vehicle control device with automatic engine stop function
In a vehicle control device with an automatic engine stop function, when the engine is in a non-operating state and the shift lever is operated to the parking range, the engine is controlled to start to supply operating oil to a valve timing changing means. The valve timing changing means is thereupon caused to change the intake valve close timing (IVC) to a predetermined advance angle position and subsequently locked thereat. The engine is then controlled to stop.
Power supply system in vehicle
A power supply system for a vehicle including a driving battery, first and second device batteries, a DC-to-DC converter, a control system device, and a specific device includes first and second power lines, first and second switches, and a coupling line. The first power line transmits power from the first device battery to the control system device. The second power line transmits power from the second device battery to the specific device. The first switch is coupled between the DC-to-DC converter and the first power line. The first switch includes a diode disposed in a direction to flow a current to the first power line. The coupling line is configured to transmit power from a node between the DC-to-DC converter and the first switch to the second power line. The second switch selectively opens and closes an electric circuit of the coupling line.
HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE ENGINE CRANKING
A system for a vehicle includes an electric machine configured to transfer power between an engine and traction battery, an auxiliary battery electrically connected with and isolated from the traction battery, and a controller programmed to, after receiving an engine start request, initiate an engine start using the batteries in response to available traction battery power being below a threshold, and initiate the engine start using the traction battery but not the auxiliary battery otherwise.
Vehicle power supply system
The vehicle power supply system includes the DC/DC converter that is disposed on an electric path between the first load related to vehicle control and the battery and converts a voltage of direct current power supplied from the battery to the first load, and the detection device that detects the voltage of the battery. In a case where the engine is restarted by using the starter from the automatically stopped state of the engine, the detection device controls the DC/DC converter to start in a case where the voltage of the battery becomes equal to or less than a threshold value during a period from stoppage of the alternator to start of the starter.
Hybrid electric vehicle, drive control method and device of the same
The present disclosure provides a hybrid electric vehicle, a drive control method and a drive control device of a hybrid electric vehicle. The drive control method includes: obtaining a current gear position and a current operating mode of the hybrid electric vehicle, a current electric charge level of a power battery and a slope of a road where the hybrid electric vehicle is; determining whether the hybrid electric vehicle is within a taxiing start-stop interval according to the current gear position of the hybrid electric vehicle, the current electric charge level of the power battery, and the slope of the road; if the hybrid electric vehicle is within the taxiing start-stop interval, further obtaining a current speed of the hybrid electric vehicle; and causing the hybrid electric vehicle to enter a small load stop mode or a small load stall mode according to the current speed.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR VIBRATION DAMPING IN A POWERTRAIN SYSTEM
A powertrain system including an electric machine rotatably coupled to a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine via a belt is described, wherein the electric machine is disposed to generate torque. A method for controlling the electric machine includes monitoring rotational position of the electric machine, and periodically executing a speed observer to determine a rotational speed of the electric machine based upon the monitored rotational position of the electric machine. An acceleration observer is periodically executed to determine an acceleration rate, wherein the acceleration rate is determined based upon a time-based change in the rotational speed of the electric machine. A virtual inertia term is determined based upon the acceleration rate, and a torque compensation term is determined based upon the virtual inertia term and the acceleration rate. The electric machine is controlled to generate torque based upon the torque compensation term.
