STARTER PULLEY ARRANGEMENT
The present disclosure relates to a starter pulley arrangement for an internal combustion engine. The arrangement comprises a cord drum (1) configured to house a starting rope wound thereon, a driver (3) configured to interact with a flywheel (5) or other part connected to an engine crankshaft, and a torsion spring (7) connecting the cord drum (1) to the driver (3), such that the cord drum can resiliently urge the engine crankshaft via the driver. The torsion spring (7) is tensioned in a resting position where the driver does not influence the crankshaft. This provides an improved resistance against wear on the parts of the starter pulley arrangement.
Internal Combustion Engine for a Motor Vehicle, in Particular for a Car
An internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle includes an output shaft and a spring element which can rotate with the output shaft which is to be tensioned as a result of a deactivation of the internal combustion engine by a rotation of the output shaft, where a spring force can be provided by the spring element and where by the spring force the output shaft can be set into rotation in the event of a start following the deactivation. Via a locking device the output shaft is to be secured against a rotation after tensioning the spring element and while the spring element is tensioned. A blocking device can be shifted between a blocking state securing a first part of the spring element, which has a second part non-rotationally connected to the output shaft, against a rotation and a release state releasing the first part for a rotation.

Engine starting device
A rope reel includes first circumferential wall portion that is erectly provided so as to surround outer circumference of recoil spring. A starter case includes second circumferential wall portion that is erectly provided so as to adjoin inner circumferential face or outer circumferential face of first circumferential wall portion. The first circumferential wall portion and the second circumferential wall portion are disposed so that end edges of the first circumferential wall portion and the second circumferential wall portion overlap each other when viewed in radial direction. A plate is disposed between starter case and recoil spring inside first circumferential wall portion. Thus, it is possible to provide structure which is realized in space-saving manner to make foreign substances difficult to intrude into starting device in order to prevent deformation or damage of recoil spring, and from which the foreign substances are easily discharged even if foreign substances have intruded.
