Ignition device

An ignition device includes a coil unit and an igniter. The coil unit includes a primary coil and a secondary coil. The primary coil includes a main primary coil and an auxiliary primary coil formed by winding a single primary conductor on a primary bobbin. The secondary coil is formed by winding a secondary conductor on a secondary bobbin. A DC voltage is applied to an intermediate section of the primary conductor between the main primary coil and the auxiliary primary coil. The igniter controls current flowing into the main primary coil or the auxiliary primary coil. The primary bobbin includes a bobbin body and a hooking part protruding from the bobbin body. The main primary coil and the auxiliary primary coil are wound on an outer peripheral surface of the bobbin body to the same direction. A part of the intermediate section is hooked on the hooking part.

Internal combustion engine ignition coil

An internal combustion engine ignition coil includes: a center core; a primary coil provided on an outer side of the center core; a secondary coil provided on an outer side of the primary coil; and a side core provided on an outer side of the primary coil and the secondary coil and formed by stacked electromagnetic steel sheets, the side core having one contact portion in contact with one end surface of the center core and another contact portion in contact with another end surface of the center core with a magnet therebetween. The side core is composed of a plurality of side core portions fitted to each other to be movable relative to each other in a longitudinal direction of the center core.

The core cover is formed in a form that covers an inner side face, one thickness direction end face, and an other thickness direction end face of the side core. Wall portions that divide a mass of the insulating resin into portions, or reduce an amount thereof, are provided in the core cover on an aperture portion side of the case, which is the one thickness direction end face side of the side core.

An internal-combustion-engine control apparatus according to the present disclosure controls an internal combustion engine having a main combustion chamber, a subsidiary combustion chamber, an ignition plug that is disposed in the subsidiary combustion chamber, an ignition coil connected with the ignition plug, and an orifice for connecting the subsidiary combustion chamber with the main combustion chamber and for injecting combustion gas in the subsidiary combustion chamber into the main combustion chamber; the internal-combustion-engine ignition apparatus includes an ignition control unit that controls energization of the ignition coil so that an ignition discharge for igniting a fuel-air mixture in the subsidiary combustion chamber is produced across the ignition plug, and a pressure-boosting control unit that controls energization of the ignition coil so that a pressure-boosting discharge for increasing a pressure of combustion gas in the subsidiary combustion chamber is produced across the ignition plug.

A linear electro-mechanical system comprising: a stator including at least first and second stator electronic circuits or groups of circuits; a free piston mover movable in a reciprocating motion relative to the stator, the free piston including: a piston surface; a translator configured so that an electromagnetic force may be applied on the free piston mover by one or more of the stator electronic circuits or groups of circuits; and one or more translator electronic circuits, the system further comprising a switching device for each of the first and second stator electronic circuits or groups of circuits such that the current in each of the first and second stator electronic circuits or groups of circuits is independently controllable, and wherein at least one of the translator electronic circuits is configured to receive power from at least one of the independently controlled stator electronic circuits or groups of circuits during at least part of the stroke of the free piston mover.
