Wave energy recovery apparatus with power-take-off arrangement
This invention relates to a wave energy recovery apparatus with a power-take-off arrangement comprising at least a base, a reciprocating panel, two power-take-off (PTO) units with one or more generators to convert kinetic energy of waves or tidal currents to electricity, at least two gear transmissions operatively connected between the panel and the generators and at least two one-way clutch mechanisms to control the directions of rotation of the generators. The panel is arranged to rotate a half of the generators when rotating into one direction and another half of the generators when rotating into the opposite direction.
Adjustable multi-functional bottom-hinged flap-type wave energy utilization device and control method therefor
An adjustable multi-functional bottom-hinged flap-type wave energy utilization device includes at least three wave energy conversion devices arranged in parallel and with adjustable spacing. Each wave energy conversion device includes a wave energy conversion component, a direction adjustment component for adjusting a wave-facing direction of the wave energy conversion component, and a height adjustment component for adjusting a height of the wave energy conversion component. The wave energy conversion component includes a mounting base plate, a transmission shaft arranged on the mounting base plate, a wave energy flap that can drive the transmission shaft to rotate, a generator connected to the transmission shaft, a hydraulic oil cylinder positioned on a back surface of the flap for pushing the flap to reset, and a wave monitor arranged on the mounting base plate for monitoring a draught and a wave direction angle of the flap.
Renewable energy generation device and control method therefor
The present disclosure provides a renewable energy generator including a housing formed to float in a body of water, a main generator unit, frame(s) fixed internally of the housing at intervals, a main rotating shaft for linking the main generator unit rotatably to the frame(s), and a controller for operating the pendulum by driving the main motor, and controlling the main generator unit to cause the housing to behave due to the pendulum operation. The main generator unit includes an inner housing, a pendulum moving inside the inner housing, a pendulum rotation shaft vertically connected to the pendulum and fixed to the inner housing, a main motor for converting kinetic energy of the pendulum into electrical energy, and a gear unit linked to the pendulum rotation shaft and transmitting the kinetic energy of the pendulum to the main motor.

Eccentrically rotating mass turbine
A turbine comprises a shaft (20), a mass (10) eccentrically mounted for rotation about shaft (20), having its center of gravity at a distance from the shaft (20) and a motion base (15). Motion base (15) rigidly supports the shaft (20), and is configured for moving the shaft (20) in any direction of at least two degrees of movement freedom, except for heave. A floating vessel-turbine (120), encloses entirely the eccentrically rotating mass (10) and the motion base (15). The turbine converts ocean wave energy into useful energy, very efficiently.
Modular Wave Energy Converter
A modular wave energy converter includes: a forward attachment frame; forward guide rails coupled to the forward attachment frame; a forward paddle coupled to the forward guide rails; and one or more forward tethers coupled to the forward paddle and the shaft. A combination of heave and surge forces from waves of water causes the forward paddle moves up and down the forward guide rails. The movement of the forward paddle moves the one or more forward tethers. The movement of the one or more forward tethers causes the shaft to rotate via the rotation of winches. The winches are configured with a one-way clutch, which allows the shaft to rotate in a first direction but not a second. The converter has the same structure on the aft side, including an aft paddle. The forward and aft paddles are positioned vertically or inclined.
Flexible aquatic substructures
Disclosed herein are aquatic substructures capable of supporting a weight such as a wind tower and turbine. The aquatic substructures may include a central column and at least one buoyancy container connected by means of a system of cables and beams as described herein.
Wave power generation system
A wave power generation system includes: a hydraulic pump device configured to operate by force of a wave to discharge an operating liquid to a main passage; a hydraulic motor device configured to be rotated by the operating liquid flowing through the main passage; a power generator configured to be driven by the hydraulic motor to generate electric power; and a heat exchanger device configured to perform heat exchange of the operating liquid. The heat exchanger device includes a heat exchange motor device connected to the main passage through a sub passage and configured to be operated by the operating liquid introduced through the sub passage, a refrigerant pump device driven by the heat exchange motor device and configured to suck and discharge a refrigerant liquid, and a heat exchanger to which the refrigerant liquid discharged from the heat exchange pump device and the operating liquid are introduced.
