Disclosed are a wave power generation system for generating electrical energy by means of a hydraulic circuit, and a method for controlling same. The wave power generation system comprises a hydraulic motor for storing motion energy in a form of fluid pressure and volume if a plurality of tension transmission members, for transmitting motion energy by means of six-degrees-of-freedom motion of a movable object floating on the waves, move in one direction, and for maintaining the tension of the tension transmission members by means of the stored energy if the tension transmission members move in the other direction. Electric energy is alternately generated by means of the bidirectional motion of the plurality of tension transmission members.

Modular Wave Energy Converter

A modular wave energy converter includes: a forward attachment frame; forward guide rails coupled to the forward attachment frame; a forward paddle coupled to the forward guide rails; and one or more forward tethers coupled to the forward paddle and the shaft. A combination of heave and surge forces from waves of water causes the forward paddle moves up and down the forward guide rails. The movement of the forward paddle moves the one or more forward tethers. The movement of the one or more forward tethers causes the shaft to rotate via the rotation of winches. The winches are configured with a one-way clutch, which allows the shaft to rotate in a first direction but not a second. The converter has the same structure on the aft side, including an aft paddle. The forward and aft paddles are positioned vertically or inclined.

MECHANICAL ENGINE FOR THE GENERATION OF ENERGY THROUGH WATER MOVEMENT, refers to a mechanical motor (1) to (41), with their auxiliary sets, with the objective of generating mechanical and electrical energy, or both, being plants electric lines with this system can be built on the banks or inside the sea, river or islands, where the cost benefit of the energy by the conventional way, does not become compensating, or practically inaccessible places, but that have waves, tides, or level differentials in waters. As these sources of energy, in water there are in abundance on the planet, possible future plants of this system, may be more spread out, and in greater quantity, thus reducing the number of posts, towers, compensation equipment, components, and transmission wires. In case of use in water navigation, this engine can be used to replace, totally or partially, conventional fuels and engines, for mechanical handling, and the generation of electric energy on board.

Drive Assembly

A drive assembly is provided suitable for aiding in the conversion of wave energy to useful energy. The drive assembly of the present invention is arranged to transfer wave energy to an energy converter, the drive assembly comprising, an actuating member having an actuating length. The drive assembly further comprises a movable energy transfer member arranged to be coupled to an energy converter and arranged to transfer energy from the actuating member to said energy converter. The drive assembly further comprises an energy storing member comprising a biasing member coupled to one or more of: the actuating member, the energy transfer member; the energy storing member being arranged to cause the actuating member or the energy transfer member to move position. The actuating member is arranged to move the energy transfer member from a first stroke position to a second stroke position; and the first stroke position and the second stroke position define distal end points of a working stroke; the working stroke arranged so as to drive said energy converter.

Wave-direction-adaptive wave focusing type wave energy convertor with multiple water channels

A wave-direction-adaptive wave focusing type wave energy convertor with multiple water channels, comprising an energy acquisition system, an energy conversion system and a support system. Wave focusing is carried out through double water channels, so that the movement amplitude of water particles behind a box is doubled. A device is connected with a fixed pile through universal bearings, so that an opening of the device is always faced to a wave flow direction, which adapts to different seasons and water conditions, has low environmental requirements, and can be used in a wide sea area. Several coils of pretension spring compression are arranged in a winding barrel, so that a nylon rope connected to a buoy is ensured to be always in a straightened state and not derail from pulley blocks to work abnormally due to looseness whether the buoy is at a wave crest or a wave trough.
