Mounting in hub for blades of a hydro turbine
A hydro turbine assembly includes a hub configured to rotate about a center axis and configured to be mounted in a water passage. The hub includes an upstream end, a downstream end and an outer surface between the upstream and downstream ends. The hub includes at least three mounting recesses arranged in the outer surface wherein each mounting recess includes a first hub mounting surface and a second hub mounting surface, and the second hub mounting surface is downstream and radially inward of the first hub mounting surface. The assembly includes at least three runner blades each including a base configured to seat in a respective one of the mounting recesses, wherein the base includes a first blade mounting surface arranged to abut the first hub mounting surface and a second blade mounting surface arranged to abut the second hub mounting surface.
Hydroelectric power generation device
A hydropower generator includes: a driving shaft installed along a path through which a fluid flows; a plurality of blade assemblies installed along a lengthwise direction of the driving shaft; a spinning supporter connected to rotatably support the driving shaft; a power generator receiving a spinning force of the driving shaft and generating electricity; and a flow pipeline internally provided with the driving shaft along a lengthwise direction thereof and formed with a channel through which a fluid flows.
PELTON RUNNER
A Pelton runner with a wheel disk and separately fabricated buckets (2), which may be cast or made from a solid block of material and secured detachably to the wheel disk (1), fastened by at least one screw (5) or at least one bolt. At least one screw or at least one bolt is designed as an expansion screw (5) or expansion bolt, where the expansion screw (5) or expansion bolt is subjected to controlled pre-stressing, and each bucket (2) has at least one expansion screw (5) or expansion bolt that is arranged perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the wheel disk (1) and secured to the wheel disk (1).
Tidal power generation system and methods
The invention provides a system for the extraction of energy from an underwaterflow stream in a body of water. The system comprises a support frame which comprises a plurality of receptacles for mounting functional modules on the support frame. The plurality of receptacles are arranged to form a horizontally-distributed two-dimensional array on the support frame. The plurality of vertical axis turbine units is configured to be interchangeably mounted in the receptacles.
COMPOSITE PROPULSOR BLADE RETENTION STRUCTURE AND METHOD FOR CONSTRUCTING SAME
A structure and a method of constructing a root joint and blade retention mechanism of a composite airfoil of a propulsor blade is presented. The retention assembly includes an inner sleeve configured to retain a root area of the composite propulsor blade. The inner sleeve is fixedly attached to an inner surface of the root area by a resin transfer molding process. An outer sleeve is bonded to an outer surface of the composite propulsor blade after the completion of the resin transfer molding process. At least one bearing assembly is disposed within an annular groove of the outer sleeve. The bearing assembly rotatably couples the propulsor blade and the retention assembly to a hub assembly.
Tool and method for connecting/disconnecting a runner to/from a shaft assembly
The present invention generally relates to an innovative tool for connecting or disconnecting a runner to/from a shaft assembly. Moreover, the present invention relates to a method for carrying out such operations using the tool. Advantageously, connecting/disconnecting operations can occur without having to work under a suspended load, as the tool may be activated for supporting the runner remotely from a location outside a runner footprint.
RUNNER FOR A HYDROELECTRIC AXIAL TURBINE OR PUMP
A propeller-type runner for a hydraulic turbine or pump has a hub and a plurality of blades. Up to and including two blades are fixed to the hub using bolts. The remaining blades are welded to the hub. Each bolted blade is adjoined by two welded blades.
Method for mounting a guide apparatus
A method of mounting a guide apparatus of a large hydraulic machine with a vertical axis of rotation and wherein the axes of the guide blades extend vertically as well. The method includes the following steps: assembling an assembly with at least the upper guide wheel ring or the turbine cover and all the guide blades of the guide apparatus. This assembly does not take place in the machine shaft and the guide blades are mounted in a suspended manner, lowering the guide blades to mutually different height levels within the assembly such that the lowered guide blades can be displaced upwardly, installing the lower guide wheel ring in the machine shaft, and installing the assembly in the machine shaft by continuous lowering, wherein the guide blades present in the assembly are successively inserted into the openings provided in the lower guide wheel ring.
