VERTICAL WIND SPEED ACCELERATION TYPE WIND TURBINE
A wind turbine includes: a collector base; a tunnel body; and a wind turbine. The collector base has an entire circumference at which a wind inflow part is formed. The tunnel body includes a lower front member that is vertically installed on the collector base, that has a substantially rectangular cross-sectional shape, and whose cross-sectional area is reduced linearly or curvilinearly from a wind inlet formed on the collector base side, and an upper member that linearly or curvilinearly expands from a position of the reduced cross-sectional area to the wind outlet at an upper end. The wind turbine is installed at a reduced part of the tunnel body such that an interval between long side parts of the tunnel body is minimum, and a ratio of short side parts and the long side parts of the tunnel body is 1 to 10 times.
DIFFUSER AUGMENTED WIND TURBINE WITH BLOCKAGE MECHANISM AND METHOD THEREOF
The present invention generally relates to the field of energy generation systems-renewable energywind energy and flowing water energy, more particularly to the fluid turbines. The present invention uses the blockage effect either due to a plate or due to a ground suitably place so that in a distance up to one diameter away from the duct, so that the air is deflected up to 90 degrees and beyond and the flow rate through the duct and turbine is increased, leading to higher efficiency and greater power produced.
Open and closed cycle lift force turbines
Open and closed cycle lift force turbines are provided. Illustratively, the open cycle lift force turbine operates in an open cycle environment without heat and/or pressure, utilizing asymmetric pressure distribution on lift turbine blades mainly to generate thrust with the normal component of this lift force, while using the tangential component of this lift force to drive a bypass fan providing additional thrust and to drive accessories, provide control to the fluid velocity, and/or provide motivation of the fluid's flow. The open cycle lift force turbine may be utilized to generate continuous thrust, heat and/or electricity for powering vehicles in any atmosphere. The closed cycle lift force turbine may be utilized to generate continuous thrust, heat and/or electricity for powering vehicles at any speed in any atmosphere or lack thereof.
Systems and methods for fluid flow based renewable energy generation
A fluid-driven power generation unit, may include two sets of airfoils disposed on opposite sides of the power generation unit with their leading edges facing a windward end of the power generation unit; a body element having a curved front face and a back disposed, wherein at least a portion of the elongate body element is disposed between the first and second set of airfoils; and a power generation unit disposed in alignment with the body element, the power generation unit including at least a housing, and a turbine and an electrical generation unit actuated by the turbine disposed within the housing. As a fluid flows across the airfoils, the lifting force of the airfoils causes a reduced pressure within the power generation unit, drawing air past the turbine, through the body element and out the back of the body element, thereby extracting power from this secondary fluid flow stream.
WIND POWERED GENERATION SYSTEM
A diversely useful wind power generation system for use with an existing structure such as a building. The system has one or more wind capture funnels located at a first location of the existing structure such as at or adjacent its roof. An air pressure powered rotor mechanically coupled to a generator at a second location of the existing structure, such as inside or at ground level. A conduit fluidly connects the one or more wind capture funnels at the first location to the air pressure powered rotor at the second location of the existing structure.
