Method for operating a dense phase powder pump and dense phase powder pump
The invention relates to a dense phase powder pump and a method for operating a dense phase powder pump in a powder-conveying mode. In order, in a simple manner, to prevent or at least reduce powder accumulations and clogging with powder, in particular on the powder inlet side of the powder conveying chamber of the dense phase powder pump, and thus in the region of the powder inlet valves, according to the invention, during a predefined or specified time period in at least one output phase and preferably at the end time of the output phase of a powder cycle, at least one of the following conditions exists: i) the powder inlet valve of the dense phase powder pump is open; ii) the powder outlet valve of the dense phase powder pump is closed; and/or iii) the application of an overpressure to the powder conveying chamber of the dense phase powder pump is interrupted.
Remote adhesive monitoring system
A remote adhesive monitoring system is used in connection with adhesive applied to workpieces moving along a production line. A reservoir, pump, and applicator apply the adhesive to the workpieces. A monitor control computer has an associated data processing program. A pump cycle sensor senses pump cycles. An applicator sensor senses when the adhesive is applied to the workpieces. A workpiece sensor senses the workpieces moving along the line. The monitor control uses input from the applicator sensing means and the workpiece sensor to determine an ON time per each workpiece at a predetermined speed. The monitor control uses input from the workpiece sensor and the pump cycle sensor to determine the number of workpieces per pump cycle. The monitor control calculates an ON time to TOTAL time ratio per each workpiece. The monitor control will then calculate an amount of adhesive used for the given ON time to TOTAL time ratio.

HIGH-PRESSURE PLUNGER PUMP AND METHOD FOR THE FUNCTIONAL INTERRUPTION OF A FLUID FLOW
A high pressure plunger pump, having at least one plunger arrangement which comprises a working space connected to a valve seat suction line and a valve seat pressure line, in which a plunger is arranged in an axially reciprocable manner, wherein the valve seat pressure line is closeable by a pressure valve and the valve seat suction line by a suction valve, and the suction valve can be kept in an open position in a controlled manner as required by means of a counter-pressure device, is designed so that the counter-pressure device has a supply line via which a control fluid can be guided to the suction valve for keeping the suction valve open, wherein a low-pressure pump is connected to the supply line for generating pressure of the control fluid.
