Negative pressure wound therapy device using a vacuum generating pump providing audible therapy feedback

A negative pressure wound therapy device includes a piezoelectric pump, a state detector configured to detect a state of the pump, and a control circuit configured to transmit a first control signal for a first period having a first RMS voltage greater than or equal to a threshold voltage at which driving the pump for a second period greater than the first period can cause the pump to emit sound at a magnitude greater than a sound threshold; receive a first indication of the state; determine if the pump is in a leak condition; transmit, responsive to the pump not being in the leak condition, a second control signal having a second RMS voltage less than the first RMS voltage; and transmit, responsive to the pump being in the leak condition, a third control signal having a third RMS voltage greater than the second RMS voltage.

A diaphragm for a pump has a one-piece elastomeric body centered on an axis and formed with an annular outer clamping edge, an annular flexible web extending radially inward from the outer edge, and a core joined by the web to the outer edge and formed in turn by an upper wall and a lower wall axially spaced therefrom. This lower wall is formed on the axis with a throughgoing hole. An insert between the walls extends through the hole, and interengaging formations on the insert and on the lower wall radially couple the insert to the lower wall at an inner edge of the hole.

Contact protection apparatus for a medical fluid-conducting cassette and cassette

The present disclosure relates to a contact protection apparatus for covering connection point(s) of a medical fluid-conducting cassette used for a medical treatment. The contact protection apparatus includes at least one covering section for covering the connection point before the use of the cassette, and at least one connection section for detachably connecting the contact protection apparatus or for holding the contact protection apparatus on the cassette. It further relates to a medical fluid-conducting cassette with a contact protection apparatus.

Self-regulating bimetallic diaphragm pump

A system, method apparatus including a bimetallic mechanical pump diaphragm for fluid handling including two walls forming a chamber divided by a snap-acting bimetallic mechanical diaphragm which uses the rapid, concavity inversing, buckling transition of the diaphragm pump fluid as thermal energy in a first fluid is converted to mechanical energy to push a second fluid as the diaphragm moves from a first position to a second position in the chamber. Two sets of inlet and outlet passageways include one way valves to control the flow of the first and second fluids having different temperatures.

The present invention relates to a membrane-based piston pump (400) for pumping a liquid product. The pump is provided with a device (426) for maintaining a pre-defined hydraulic fluid volume in the pump. The device comprises an axle element (440) and a bushing element (432). The invention further relates to a method for pumping a liquid product in a pump. Furthermore, the invention relates to a homogenizer provided with a membrane-based piston pump.

Pump system with leak damage protection

An electric diaphragm pump having a pump head assembly in a first housing, a motor assembly in a second housing, a fluid sensor, and a leak alert system and/or pump shut-off system. The fluid sensor detects a presence of fluid which has leaked outside of a pump chamber and is located within a cavity of the diaphragm drive chamber. The leak alert system indicates that fluid has been detected by the fluid sensor and the shut-off control system stops operation of the pump based on fluid being detected by the fluid sensor.

INFUSION PUMP

The present invention is provided to suppress occurrence of free flow. An infusion pump includes: a sliding clamp closing and releasing an infusion tube; a pump body including a tube attachment portion to which the infusion tube is to be attached detachably and forcibly transferring liquid in the infusion tube; and a door pivotably supported by the pump body so that the tube attachment portion is openable and closable by the door. The pump body includes: a clamp attachment portion into which the sliding clamp having the infusion tube set therein is to be inserted and set; and a release operator being operated in the clamp attachment portion to transfer the sliding clamp from a close mode to a release mode, the release operator being configured to be locked, in response to opening movement of the door, so that the release operator is inoperable for releasing, and to be unlocked in response to closing movement of the door.

Rolling diaphragm pump

A rolling diaphragm 5 of a rolling diaphragm pump 1 has a movable portion 31 reciprocatable together with a piston 3, a fixed portion 32 fixed to a housing 2, and a thin film portion 33 connecting the movable portion 31 and the fixed portion 32 and bending due to reciprocation of the piston 3. A rubber layer 6 is overlaid on the thin film portion 33 without being adhered to the thin film portion 33, an end portion 6a on the movable portion 31 side of the rubber layer 6 is fixed to the piston 3, and an end portion 6b on the fixed portion 32 side of the rubber layer 6 is fixed to the housing 2.

DIAPHRAGM PUMP

A diaphragm structured for use in a diaphragm pump useful to pump a working fluid includes a first non-planar layer and a second non-planar layer. The second non-planar layer is independent from the first non-planar layer, but engaged to the first non-planar layer so that the first non-planar layer and the second non-planar layer form a closed space therebetween and travel together while flexing in an intake direction or a discharge direction within a pumping assembly of a diaphragm pump.
