A conveying device at least for conveying a fluid, includes at least one conveying space, with at least one conveying space element, which at least partly delimits the conveying space and is embodied in a rigid fashion, and with at least one elastically deformable conveying element, which forms the conveying space together with the conveying space element, at least the conveying space element and the conveying element together form an exchangeable unit. The conveying element is arranged on the conveying space element in an at least partly convexly curved fashion, following a deformation, the conveying element automatically seeks to re-assume a basic shape, and the conveying element is connected to the conveying space element in a non-releasable manner.

Peristaltic pump

A peristaltic pump includes a plunger-cam follower, a tube receiver, a spring-biased plunger, a spring, a position sensor, and a processor. The plunger-cam follower engages the plunger cam to follow the plunger cam and to disengage from the plunger cam. The spring-biased plunger is coupled to the plunger-cam follower and the spring biases the spring-biased plunger toward the tube receiver. The position sensor determines a position of the spring-biased plunger when the plunger-cam follower is disengaged from the plunger came. The processor estimates fluid flow utilizing at least the position of the spring-biased plunger as indicated by the position sensor when the plunger-cam follower is disengaged from the plunger cam and the spring biases the spring-biased plunger against the tube.

PINCH VALVE FOR FLUID INJECTOR SYSTEM

A fluid injector system includes at least one injector for pressurizing and delivering at least one fluid from at least one fluid reservoir, a first flexible tube having a first lumen, a second flexible tube having a second lumen, and a valve assembly configured to selectively and reversibly compress the first flexible tube and the second flexible tube to open and close the first lumen and the second lumen. The valve assembly includes a first anvil moveable between a retracted position in which the first lumen is at least partially pen and an extended position in which the first anvil closes the first lumen, a second anvil moveable between a retracted position in which the second lumen is at least partially open and an extended position in which the second anvil closes the second lumen, and at least one eccentric cam rotatable to move the first anvil and the second anvil between the retracted and extended positions.

PUMP FOR MIMICKING PHYSIOLOGICAL BLOOD FLOW IN A PATIENT
20220370785 · 2022-11-24 ·

A pump for mimicking physiological blood flow in a patient is disclosed. The pump works via compression and decompression of a tube, inducing a peristaltic flow within the tube. The compression may be effected by a linear actuator, or alternatively by a pivoting compression member. A one-way check valve ensures flow in a single direction.

Low-force pumping segment

A pumping segment having a low shut-off force is disclosed. The pumping segment includes a tube having an interior surface with at least two notches on opposite sides of the interior surface.

Linear peristaltic pump
11635073 · 2023-04-25 ·

An improved linear peristaltic pump that is able to be manufactured using fewer parts while also improving the performance and the reliability of the pump. The linear peristaltic pump utilizes a leaf spring in direct contact with a tube and is therefore able to provide smooth transitions in the forces exerted on the tube.

Apparatus for infusing fluid

A pump for pumping fluid includes a tube platen, a plunger, a bias member, inlet and outlet valves, an actuator mechanism, a position sensor, and a processor. The plunger is configured for actuation toward and away from the infusion-tube when the tube platen is disposed opposite to the plunger. The tube platen can hold an intravenous infusion tube. The bias member is configured to urge the plunger toward the tube platen.

FLUID SWITCHING VALVE, FLUID DELIVERY CARTRIDGE, AND FLUID DELIVERY DRIVING UNIT
20170335978 · 2017-11-23 ·

A fluid switching valve including a first elastic tube that delivers a first fluid; a second elastic tube that delivers a second fluid; a third elastic tube having one end connected to the first and second elastic tubes; and a switching member that, by displacing a protruding portion, switches between a first state in which the first elastic tube is constricted and the second fluid is delivered to the third elastic tube, a second state in which the second elastic tube is constricted and the first fluid is delivered to the third elastic tube, a third state in which the first and second elastic tubes are both constricted and introduction of fluid to the third elastic tube is cut off, and a fourth state in which neither the first nor second elastic tube is constricted and both the first and second fluids are delivered to the third elastic tube.

PERISTALTIC PUMP AND RELATED METHOD

A peristaltic pump, and related method, are disclosed that includes a cam shaft, a plunger-cam follower, a tube receiver, a spring, a plunger, a door, and a plunger lift lever. The cam shaft includes a plunger cam. The plunger-cam follower engages with the plunger cam of the cam shaft. The spring provides a bias and the plunger is biased toward the tube receiver by the spring. The plunger is coupled to the plunger-cam follower where expansion of the plunger cam along a radial angle intersecting the plunger-cam follower as the cam shaft rotates actuates the plunger away from the tube receiver. The door lever can be actuated between a first position and a second position. The plunger lift lever is coupled to the door lever to actuate the plunger away from the tube receiver when the door lever is actuated to the second position.
